So all of the women believe Ephesians 5 from Holy Scripture is “weaponized” in terms of submitting.
Good luck men. You have the obligations of a man to lead, provide, protect, lead your household to heaven, but she has no obligation to submit unless she feels like you’re worthy of submission.
Feminism is so deeply weaponized and capitulated to in all of Christianity at this point that I don’t know how to fix it.
Almost no priests, pastors or organizations will stand up to a woman.
Their obligations are based on how they feel. Like a buffet when it comes to obeying Christ and Holy Scripture.
Welcome to Christian dating gentlemen!

The whole ethos of Washington, D.C. these days is: let's keep the racket going as long as possible. This is every agency, every Congressional office, every lobbyist, every think tank. Idealism is gone. Public service is gone. The notion of government as servant of the people is gone. We hardly even hear these cliches anymore.

The entire Arch Manning - Texas marriage will go down as a case study in how to mismanage a young QB. If Sark crashes out this season the last week will be a microcosm of why Texas keeps squandering super talented rosters.
Last week he tells us Arch would be praised if he didn’t have a different last name. A few days later he says Arch’s job status is up for evaluation.
Nobody in college football draws a wider range of headlines than Arch Manning, and his coach consistently pours gasoline on that fire.
I watched Carson Beck throw 3 INT’s straight off a bye in Jacksonville after throwing three picks in Austin and Kirby Smart got up to the podium and talked about the psychological toll of playing the position and the ways that different moments in a game can impact confidence.
Was a portion of the UGA fanbase thirsty for some red meat and the prospect of a open QB completion? Hell yeah. Would it have helped UGA create calm around a chaotic QB? Absolutely not.
Every time Sark shows up at SEC media days he tells us Texas has its best roster ever and is finally ready to compete for a national title. The story on Manning choosing Texas was often told to make it seem like Austin was a place where he could fit in and be more anonymous than he would in a true college town.
Then his coach did national features before last season saying he was tempted to play Arch in 2024, and framing a new starter as the missing piece to the title puzzle.
It’s convenient to build excitement and give signals that you’re doing a good job, but none of that can ever replace wins and losses.
Pete Kwiatowski fielded one of the best opponent adjusted pass defenses college football has seen in the last decade and got axed because Sark needed a head to feed the board after his big product launch failed and he didn’t want to admit his fingerprints were on the defective side of the ball.
Texas’s NIL recruiting strategy has often come down to offering 2x or more for the highest profile recruits. Landing big names is great PR but how would you feel if you’d played well and bought in as a junior and now you have to take less money than an unproven frosh who showed up out of shape and is already eyeing the portal?
Ultimately it is hard to build a winning culture when the players on the team see the leader of the program choose short term convenience over long term gain. After 2023 I gave Sark tons of credit for creating alignment amongst a fractured booster base. All those resources are an amazing tool but they have also created a natural path towards all of this short term thinking. Texas has too many stretches where it plays like an all-star team who is getting theirs instead of 11 dudes on a mission

Republican voters have been handed one establishment dud after another, especially in states where the GOP should have the freedom to nominate a fighter. Then, when the general election arrives, we are ordered to fall in line because the Democrat is worse. That is a political monopoly, and it is killing the conservative movement.

Recruitment for 2028 starts the day after the midterms. If Trump can still clear a field with an endorsement, conservatives will get another Senate class that never had to answer hard questions.

MAGA is a pathological movement with the same lineage as fascism. People are drawn to it and act on its behalf despite its logical incoherence and cruelty. There are established theoretical frameworks that help explain this:
1. Social identity theory. Political identity becomes a central component of personal identity. Criticism of the group translates into criticism of the self.
2. System justification and motivated reasoning. People are motivated to defend beliefs and social arrangements in which they have invested psychologically. Contradictory evidence may prompt rationalisation rather than belief revision.
3. Authoritarian predispositions. Research links authoritarian attitudes to preferences for conformity, punitive responses to perceived deviance, and strong leadership, particularly under conditions of perceived threat.
4. Social dominance orientation. Support for policies that privilege an in-group and subordinate a perceived out-group.
5. Cognitive dissonance. Once individuals have publicly committed themselves to a movement, acknowledging serious wrongdoing by its leadership can impose substantial psychological costs. Rationalising the wrongdoing may be less uncomfortable than admitting that a deeply consequential commitment was mistaken.
6. Identity-protective cognition. Individuals may evaluate information partly according to its implications for their standing within a valued group.
These frameworks help explain why people continue to defend or act on behalf of movements that are objectively harmful, like MAGA. At its core, membership in MAGA is predicated on a theory of self that is wrapped up in the identity of the group, its leader, and its perceived enemies. It is difficult to reason with someone who believes in MAGA because objective reason is not why they remain.
There is no universal way to end a movement like this, as doing so means attacking the construct of the self. In the end, the adherents of MAGA must choose to break with it, perhaps when the cognitive dissonance between reality and what they are asked to believe becomes so acute that it itself becomes painful.
