Hey @grok, you can choose only ONE leader to guide the world for the next 20 years. Consider intelligence, leadership, diplomacy, experience, and decision-making. Who gets your vote?

My husband of 34 years filed for divorce six days after our lottery numbers came up for $2.4 million. He told me I'd get "half of nothing," packed his truck, and drove to the claims office with the ticket in his wallet. Two hours later, the lottery office called me, not him. "Mrs. Dunn," the woman said carefully, "we have a problem with the back of this ticket."
Every Friday for nineteen years, I made sure to buy one lottery ticket.
Same corner gas station. Exact same numbers.

For several weeks, the water supply to my house became irregular. Whenever I complained to the landlord, he said the entire building was experiencing the same problem. However, I noticed that my neighbor’s water was always available. One morning, a plumber came to inspect the pipes and discovered that someone had installed an unauthorized valve that redirected part of the supply….

I slept with my landlord’s wife to stop him from evicting me, but I never expected her to show up at my wedding three years later.
I’m 30, and three years ago I was struggling to survive. I had just lost my job, owed two months’ rent and was facing eviction.
My landlord, Mr. Benson, was a wealthy businessman who had no patience for excuses. I begged him for more time, but he gave me seven days to pay.
One evening, his wife, Caroline, called me and asked me to come over because she wanted to discuss my rent.
I went there expecting another warning.
Instead, she offered to pay my outstanding rent if I agreed to keep her company whenever her husband travelled.
I knew exactly what she meant.
I should have walked away, but desperation made me do something I still regret.
We started sleeping together. She paid my rent, bought me clothes and even helped me get another job through her connections.
I eventually moved out and ended the arrangement. I thought that chapter of my life was finished.
Three years later, I was getting married to a woman I genuinely loved.
Everything was going perfectly until I noticed Caroline sitting among the wedding guests.
I hadn’t invited her.
After the ceremony, she approached me, congratulated me and handed me a small envelope.
Inside was a photograph of us together from three years earlier.
My hands started shaking.
She smiled and said, “Relax. I’m not here to ruin your wedding.”
I asked what she wanted.
She told me her husband had died six months earlier, and before his death, he had left instructions for her to find me.
I couldn’t understand why.
Then she revealed something that completely changed my understanding of those three years.
My landlord had known about our affair from the beginning.
He had discovered our messages and deliberately allowed his wife to continue seeing me.
He had even instructed her to help me get another job.
I asked why a man would knowingly allow his wife to sleep with another man.
Caroline opened the envelope again and showed me a letter from her late husband.
It read:
“I knew you were struggling, and I knew my wife was lonely. I wanted to see whether she would choose to betray me when given the opportunity. She did. But what I never expected was that she would actually fall in love with you.”
I looked at Caroline.
She was crying.
Then she said something I wasn’t prepared for.
“Your landlord didn’t send me here to expose you. He sent me because he wanted you to know that I was pregnant when you left.”
I couldn’t move.
She looked at my wedding ring and whispered:
“That child is now three years old, and he deserves to know who his father is.”
