Model Y L wasn’t “just stretch the Y.”
Keep what works. Earn every extra inch. Third-row adults can sit comfortably. Industry leading cabin comfort in every row. An exclusive interior and exterior colorway that represents premium comfort.
FSD is the other half of the brief. Commute, errands, road trips—the stressful miles—with the cabin full.
That’s what I own in the Y L. Space you use. A cabin that holds up. Software that upgrades itself regularly.
The clocks fell back last night, and a lot of people on here are saying their car clock is finally right again.
That means they never fixed it in March. They just waited it out for eight months.
I don't think that makes them lazy owners. If people would rather live with the wrong time for most of the year than dig through a menu to fix it, the menu failed them.
In a Tesla, you never have to touch it. The car sets its own time and changes it for daylight saving automatically.
It's the smallest thing in the car, but it's also something you look at on every single drive.
Best part of this thread is.
He's keeping the 911. The Model Y took the spot the X5 facelift was going to get.
And one of his reasons: he moved out of a condo and finally has a charger at home.
Most EV switches look like this, I think. Not beating the dream car. Beating the other car in the garage.
And the garage needing a plug.
I drive a Porsche 911 daily, and never thought I'd consider a @Tesla. Until now.
I just ordered a Model Y Performance. Here's why.

Didn't expect home backup to change how I think about range.
It used to be how far can I go. Now it's also how much do I leave for the house if the power goes out. Same battery, different math.
Still not sure how that changes how people charge. Curious what owners do.

Also the top-selling brand overall in Denmark, Iceland & Norway
Roadtripping fun guaranteed, driving is options!
Apple and Tesla get compared on design. The real overlap is discipline: fewer parts, fewer buttons, cutting things even when the spec sheet looks worse.
A cut sticks when something better is already in the user's hand. If the only replacement is "learn a new habit," expect to put it back.
Apple pulled MagSafe, HDMI, and the SD slot from the MacBook Pro. All three came back.
I'd rather be on a team that sometimes puts a part back than one that never cuts anything.
Model Y Performance is both exhilarating when you want to drive and hassle-free when you don’t. Uncommon bit: adaptive dampers that read knuckle accelerometers, so the car stays planted without beating you at your favorite high-speed corner.
The ultimate Tesla for parents! A good review of Tesla Model Y L from @Teslarati
Zero emissions keep Iceland pristine for future generations. Great shot @MinimalDuck
Model Y is the ultimate experience vehicle for Iceland. Until they get @cybertruck @teslaeurope
Tesla did not cheap out on the third row of the new Model Y L.
You get 2 USB-C ports, manual vent controls, cupholders, and buttons to move the second-row captain’s chair forward or back. Every seat can also be raised or folded with the touch of a button.
I’m really glad Tesla kept the third row powered instead of making it manual. This is how a 6-seat family Tesla should be done.
