Israel does a lot of sucky stuff, but Iran's proxies killed over half a million people in Syria and Yemen, and Iran mostly gets a pass from all the people who claim to be concerned about the "Global South".
This Israeli child is held hostage. He's slapped, hit with a stick, and told to, "Say Ima [Mom]." His mom was murdered. To those rationalizing this pogrom, this is what you support. Please try to reclaim your humanity before it's forever lost to extremism.
I am sickened by Americans contextualizing and rationalizing a pogrom. What happened was not the abstract "Resistance" that you like to fetishize. It was absolute barbarism. Hamas are ISIS with a loose dress code.

The novel Time’s Arrow, by Martin Amis, is amazing. Check it out. It recounts a person’s life in reverse, from last breath to first. It’s the most creative way I’ve read a writer demonstrate that the past informs the present and should be considered before judging others.
