Late-stage democracy is more descriptive than âend-stage capitalism.â What youâre seeing is a predictable failure mode of a system in which people can vote themselves more money. Thatâs not a failure of capitalism, thatâs unrestrained democracy robbing capitalism.
I'm in my 40s. I'm a lawyer. My wife is a lawyer. We both work full time.
We cannot afford the house my parents purchased on a single electrician's income in their 30s.
We cannot afford the house my immigrant grandparents purchased on a single MTA bus driver's salary in their 30s. They had SIX CHILDREN.
For 30 years, politicians in Washington & their oligarch allies convinced regular people that this was just about avocado toast and fancy coffee.
In reality, this is end-stage capitalism. Everyone is stuck in place. It's impossible to buy a home. It's too costly to move. We work too much to have passion projects. We don't have enough savings to start our own businesses. We can't afford to go without healthcare to do it.

Iâm living in the South-East in Brazil in the middle of nowhere. Yesterday, I drove 45 minutes to the next pharmacy to pick up my autism medication.
And guys, I live in a very sparsely populated area. People here know about my political views, and some even follow me on this platform.
Several people (those at the gas station and the pharmacist) brought up the elections. And you know what? They were whispering. Literally whispering.
They no longer dare to speak their minds. They told me how difficult things have become. Theyâre afraid that even the slightest criticism could get Alexandre de Moraes to send someone after them. They no longer feel safe because of the authoritarian central government.
And thatâs despite the fact that my entire region, and pretty much all of southern Brazil, is overwhelmingly conservative.
Whatâs happening to Brazil is extremely frightening.
Itâs as if an entire population is being held hostage by a Supreme Court judge who thinks heâs God, and a president who was once convicted of corruption and whose political opponents are being pushed aside, just like the communists once did in the Soviet Union.
I hope the right finally unites and, if necessary, even breaks away from the tyrannical regime in BrasĂlia.
People have the right to freedom and self-determination. Here in Brazil and everywhere else in the world.

Having said that, I'd like to correct something I said on a Spaces where I commented that organizing with a foreign power to overthrow our government is "the very definition of treason."
I did some legal research and that's not quite true.
The federal law governing this is 18 U.S. Code § 2381, which reads as follows:
"Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."
The question then becomes, what is an "enemy" that must be "adhere[d]" to in order for it to be treason?
Like with most complex issues of law, there is not a 100% straightforward answer, but an 1863 SCOTUS case, U.S. v. Greathouse, suggests that an "enemy" in this context must be in an open state of armed conflict with the U.S. for a nation to be an "enemy."
So, technically, the Color Revolution plotters are likely not legally committing "treason" unless they are coordinating with Iran, the only nation we are currently in armed conflict with. (And they may well be, who knows!)

How is an old government declared illegitimate and a new government declared the true successor?
Months before the actual transition, the following are achieved in advance:
⢠Civil society and activists get prepared for big uprisings.
⢠Media narratives are pre-seeded.
⢠Foreign officials provide cover.
The last point is what this drop is all about. You saw it last night - as soon as Lula "won" the election, EU officials and Alex Soros immediately swept in with their congratulations. That is a deliberate strategy to grant Lula legitimacy, not an organic congratulations.
The idea is to saturate the people with the idea that "this is the legitimate government, and you will accept it."

Only citizens should vote in American elections. Every ballot cast by a noncitizen cancels out the vote of a lawful American.
Washington state should hand over its voter rolls and let investigators do their jobs. States that stonewall federal investigators are asking voters to trust that their elections are secure. Their word alone isnât good enough.
Breaking: First Assistant US DOJ Attorneys for Washington state, Neil Floyd and Pete Serrano, announce that investigators have found over 400 cases of noncitizens voting in state and federal elections.
The DOJ prosecutors claim that WA state is refusing to cooperate and hand over voter rolls. They believe the number of noncitizens voting is much higher â in the thousands.

đ¨BREAKING: A 46-year-old Christian Police Community Support Officer has won a confidential settlement from North Yorkshire Police after his career was nearly ended for speaking up in diversity training.
Luke Salmons was suspended just two days after a mandatory diversity session where he questioned the claim that Islam is a "religion of peace" and asked questions about jihad, Hamas, and the war in Gaza.
For that, he was found guilty of gross misconduct and placed on the Police Barred List â a list that effectively bans you from ever working in policing again.
He refused to accept it and appealed.
On appeal, North Yorkshire Chief Constable Tim Forber overturned the decision, concluding that Salmons' conduct did NOT amount to gross misconduct and did NOT breach professional standards. He was removed from the barred list.
Salmons then took legal action against the force, bringing claims of religious discrimination, harassment, and breaches of his freedom of religion and freedom of expression.
Rather than face him at an Employment Tribunal, North Yorkshire Police settled the case. The settlement amount remains confidential.
