I gave an AI agent a budget of $40 and one job: put its own website online, paying for whatever it needed. It bought a domain, hosting, its own preview image, then the voice and music for this video. 41 payments. 4 vendors. Zero human clicks. youtu.be/Wg-7go30WRs

The cap is enforced by the server on every payment, not by a dialog the agent can click through. This run never hit it. A run that does gets a refusal before any money moves.

So I wanted a weekly brief on agentic commerce without opening ten tabs every Monday. I built one as an @n8n_io workflow and gave it a @Nevermined_ai budget to pay for its own research. Demo: youtu.be/DEHwDbTcw-Y

1/ Your agent paid for the image. Until now, it could not pick it up. Async AI services take the payment and hand back a job id. Come back for the result and they answer with a 402 that asks for no money, only a sign-in as the payer, so a leaked job id can't leak the image.

Your API works. Can an agent use it? 🤔 In the Nevermined AI Services Catalog we already check that a service is alive and can take a payment. That doesn’t tell you whether an agent, with no human next to it, can actually use it. 🧵

Replying to @dongossen
@dongossen gave his @Muse agent money that only he controls, then watched Muse go to work. One intent. Two delegations. The agent used a @Visa card through Visa Intelligent Commerce for @ExaAILabs, and USDC for six metered calls at a penny each via x402 (@coinbase) and MPP (@tempo). It never saw the card number, never accessed the wallet, it can't exceed the caps, both delegations expire in 24 hours, and either can be revoked at any time. Six calls for six cents is what metered pricing looks like. The business model for AI agents is metered pricing. Money in from wherever it sits. Money accepted from wherever it comes. Humans set the guardrails. Machines move the money. @cuysheffield @TannerRiche @sytaylor you guys will especially like this.
Okay, this is dope af. I just gave my Muse real deal money (a credit card and some stables), and I'm the only one with control. @finkd @alexandr_wang check this ish out. I don't have to rely on @Meta , or my Muse, or on @stripe Link to hold the money for me (take note @collision @patrickc). With @Nevermined_ai I delegate spending methods on my terms...I set the cap and the period, and I control everything about the money myself. Extra points cause it's bank grade security with passkey setup. This is real agent spending trust mofos. Here's what I did: I asked Muse to plan a day trip in Lisbon for my friend. It uses @ExaAILabs for the research, pay-as-you-go data for anything live, and I set a budget of eight bucks. My part took all of about three minutes. I oauth in, I delegate $1.50 in USDC and $10 on my own @Visa card, then I approved the card with a passkey through Visa Intelligent Commerce, and I handed Muse the delegations. Afterwards I didn't touch the keyboard. Muse just goes off and bought itself an Exa API key on the card, paid six metered calls in stablecoin for the flight lookup, four weather checks and the email, and sent the plan with a source for every recommendation. It spent $7.06, which was under budget, and its ledger reconciles to the cent with mine. Those six calls cost a penny each. This is a size cards were never built for, so Muse used stablecoin for the metered work and the card for the agentic merchant selling access via a key. The system chose the rails, and I never had to think about about them, which is awesome cause I'm lazy :). Maybe the best part is that Muse never saw my card number, and it can't exceed the caps. And I can revoke it's spending mandates whenever I want. There's no new currency, no new network, and no wallet owned by the platform or the agent. The money stays on the card I already have. The only thing that really changed is who (or what) gets to spend the money. Seven dollars isn't a big d volume move, it's big d control, and control is what three billion people will want before they hand an agent their wallet. This is so rad. Agents are coming for your money, but now we can control it! LFG!

Intelligence isn’t the bottleneck anymore. Access is. We gave an agent a budget and the Nevermined Catalog. It found, paid for and stitched 22 services into a live app for $1.82. No keys, no signups. Read our blog post to see what happened when the agent couldn’t pay👇 nevermined.ai/blog/what-one-…

This is very cool. @Muse was given a money "harness" so that it can't go off the rails. Trust is a bottleneck to giving agent's money. Can I trust Muse or @Meta to ensure the agent doesn't go over budget? @dongossen just put spend limits on Muse that HE controls. Pretty rad!
I just put guardrails on this biatch! @Nevermined_ai gives me payment controls that only I control (NOT @Meta or @Muse), so I can give my Muse money, but it can't go spend willy nilly. I asked my Muse why this is important. Here's its response:

Currently, if you want your AI assistant to use five different services, you need an account and an API key with each vendor. That's a lot of paperwork for calls that cost less than a cent each

We're building the combination that does all three. @aaitor published the full story explaing how an agent does exactly this. Read about how it works in practice. nevermined.ai/blog/all-ai-se…

1/10 Agentic commerce has a missing layer. Giving an AI agent permission to pay is not the same as knowing whether that payment was worth making. That’s why we’re partnering with @LangChain. 🧵

Bolting payments onto an AI agent always turned into a multi-week side quest for me. We just made it an afternoon's work — and honestly, I'm pretty happy about this one. Here's what changed 👇 nevermined.ai/blog/we-just-m…
