Going live tomorrow to show how I use e2e day to day
We'll go through the setup, replaying verified agent steps without the model, and running it on GitHub Actions CI
Then open Q&A, so bring your questions!

Safe area insets just landed in RN core! The `experimental_onSafeAreaInsetsChange` on <View /> allows receiving inset changes in a synchronous callback. This means state changes that happens in it will render on the UI thread. Compared with react-native-safe-area-context:

The `unload` event no longer fires in Chrome by default!
With the rise of the mobile web this has become increasingly unreliable and we think that's a footgun for devs who think it works.
We've spent the last 3 years carefully removing it from Chrome:

Found something funny when reading Tailscale code.
They use a Cyrillic letter "ΠΆ" (reads as "zh") for the variable which shouldn't be exposed to callers and mutated. This is an artificial barrier for human devs that should raise concerns when trying to type it.
Apparently it looks like an asterisk meaning it's a pointer. But for me it's a familiar letter which I didn't expect to see in the code and was like Π? WAT?
Yeah, you can use unicode letters in Go code if you want.
I now really want to use something like that in my code because I bet it'll make me smile every time I see it
I just decoupled Nitro from react-native.
The new package "πππππ-ππππ" exposes all portable native APIs, JS bindings and TypeScript types.
This makes it easier for other frameworks (like @LynxJS_org or @NativeScript) to adopt Nitro - all they need is JSI. Almost all JS Runtimes have JSI implementations: Hermes, V8, JSC, SpiderMonkey, Chakra, etc.
We also now test πππππ-ππππ standalone on Hermes, without react-native.
πππππ-ππππππ-πππππ-πππππππ remains inside the repo and stays one of the official targets.
It contains react-native specific setup (like autolinking and .podspec), and react-native specific features like π·π’πππππ
πππ that was previously inside nitro.
As part of this, ππππππππ will receive a plugin system soon so we can fully lift out π·π’πππππ
πππ and other RN specific features.
This could set the foundation for third party language targets (like Rust) too.
Nitro V1 is 70% done and will be a breaking change for library authors.

ArrangementView is a new SwiftUI API in iOS 27.1 that takes some time to get your head around, so I wrote a post exploring it on iPhone Duo, with lots of examples of how split and overlay layouts adapt as the device folds:
