Kaiser has done great work and is a good friend. He shared his plans to build a startup a few months ago. We not only wish him every success, YZiLabs is always keen to back ventures founded by current or former colleagues. 🙏
After five years as CFO of Binance, I have decided to go build something of my own. The past ten years in the digital asset exchange space have felt surprisingly short, because I enjoyed what I was doing. Having passion for what you do is so important, and I will come back to this point.  8am to 2am became a work habit. When I felt exhausted past midnight, I would just look up at the Kobe Bryant's statue standing in the corner of my office, and go right back to the grind! It has been the privilege of my career to help steward the finances of the world's largest digital asset exchange through a period that tested our industry in every way: bull and bear cycles, Operation Choke Point 2.0, and a regulatory landscape that evolved as quickly as the technology itself. Finance is seldom the loudest function in a company, but it is where trust is earned. Over these five years, we transformed Finance from a pure back-office function into one that consistently generates new ideas and revenue opportunities for the company. We became amazing problem solvers.  Finance understood the products and metrics as well as the business units themselves.  Proud of what we have built together, and I am pleased to hand the keys to Justin, our next CFO. I want to take this opportunity to thank CZ, Yi, Richard, and the leadership team for their confidence and, above all, the amazing Binancians around the world whom I had the honor of working with. You are the reason the company stands where it does today. Binance is in very capable hands. The company continues to grow and evolve with the successful launch of TradFi assets and AI-powered user interfaces. I’d like to express my gratitude to MGX for the trust; to our home regulator Abu Dhabi Global Market and all regulators we work closely with; and to our business partners, including BlackRock, Circle, Franklin Templeton, Mastercard, our banking partners and payment channels, as well as our advisors and auditors. Special thanks to Grant Thornton Singapore and everyone who has supported Binance. As for what comes next, well, there isn't just one project but several that I am passionate about particularly in sports and entertainment, from basketball and music, to GPUs, robotics, gold and collectibles. Bringing these real-world assets onto the blockchain through tokenization is a massive opportunity for the industry, and a big unlock for everyone.  I welcome anyone with a passion in these areas to message me and potentially join my team.  Even better if you love Kobe ;) Moving from the CFO's chair to the founder's is a leap, and I take it with humility. I deeply believe it is where I can make a greater contribution to AI and Web3. For now, thank you, Binance, for five remarkable years.

Coinbase Borrow just took its first non-crypto collateral. Eligible users can pledge Pax Gold (PAXG) and borrow USDC through Morpho on Base, without selling the gold. Morpho says the same Coinbase Borrow rails already hold about $3.4B in collateral and more than $1.7B in active loans against assets like BTC, ETH, XRP, and SOL. PAXG is one troy ounce of vaulted gold per token. Tokenization was step one. Using it as borrowable collateral is the step that makes the gold productive. Variable rates and liquidation rules still apply. This is DeFi credit in a Coinbase wrapper, not a bank gold loan.

Your AI scripts need more than a working demo. Braxis Blueprint is a collection of automation scripts and operational lessons for builders running AI workflows on free-tier services. It helps you move beyond isolated scripts by showing how model routing, scheduled jobs, backups, and failure handling fit together in one documented setup. Key features: • LLM fallback router – task-specific fallback chains, cooldowns, and dead-model tracking help handle unavailable providers • Scheduled-job guards – a shell wrapper uses flock and timeouts to prevent overlapping runs and stop jobs that run too long • Backup scripts – local rotation and offsite object storage provide a concrete backup pattern to study • Job-search workflow – scan free job boards and use an LLM to score postings against your resume, with a setup guide and resume template • Failure-case writeups – examples cover missing imports, timezone mismatches, platform length limits, and fixes that never reached running processes It’s open-source (MIT license). The Iran War needs to end and its cessation will certainly bring some relief to the AI trade and the tightening financing conditions of the buildout. But I think it’s a mistake to attribute/expect too much to it. See how both crude (CL) and diesel (3AG) both already topped in Sep despite being elevated? Since then junk bonds (JNK) actually rebounded. Nevertheless, AI supply chain-related stocks (BAI) and bonds (CRWV) continue to plunge most recently in reaction to the midterm elections. In this current environment, it’s hard to imagine a clean and swift end of the Iran War even if the US unilaterally walked away that would lead to a sharp collapse of the energy prices. That takes time. It’s similarly difficult to imagine how, until at least their Congressional leadership is resolved, the newly elected Dem leaders will be able to clearly articulate their AI (buildout) policies and declare their continued support of the AI buildout. This intra-party debate, which I expect to resolve towards the moderates in red/purple states, will also take time. The holidays are coming up. I suspect the decision over the Iran War will get resolved first before Christmas, hopefully, and the Dems will push the AI policy debate into the new year.
Given the midterm election smackdown, I expect an imminent wind-down of the Iran war is now more likely. There is no public support for the war and politicians in Congress now understand the magnitude of that opposition. Trump should read the room. But it still has to happen. When it does, energy prices will fall, easing inflation and the pressure on the Fed to raise rates. That should loosen financial conditions, which is a positive for AI infrastructure funding and AI stocks.

People realizing the importance of local AI. The right to bear ARMs & GPUs shall not be infringed. This is the new second amendment to prevent govt tyranny
Dems said they want to ban super intelligence. Dems said there should be a 20 year mandatory jail time for violating their new laws. Altman said the individual shouldn’t have inference at home. It all belongs in data centers for the world. I went out and bought a 5th DGX Spark. Buy what you can. Download a library of models. @nvidia @NVIDIAAI

i don’t think anyone can confidently say that ai stonks are currently expensive, cheap, or fairly priced. that requires a crystal ball in future ai breakthroughs, the supply chain, credit markets, politics, and macro. and such a person simply does not exist. however, charts, investor psychology, and positioning suggest that the ai trade was almost certainly a big bubble. and when bubbles burst, they will always overshoot. so, what would give me the confidence to buy ai stonks in size is not “fundamentals”, that’s just too hard. it’s when charts look like they are finally going thru a lengthy bottoming process, investor psyche is utterly and thoroughly damaged, and ai is dismissed as a worthless fad on cnbc. still the most important technology of the decade but patience will be rewarded.
