Experimenting with some #CSS progressive/gradient blur. ⚡️ Turns out it is possible (though not the most elegant)! I used backdrop-blur, several mask elements, and the supports at-rule for a gradient fallback. #webdev #uiux #webdesign

Logic would dictate that what you’re sayin makes the most sense. But humans often dont lead with logic.
Most would much prefer the feigned empathy (altho they may not admit it), even though they know it’s not a real human.

one way w/ css 🪄
stack an image 2x
filter 1st, unclip 2nd on :hover 🤙
a img { grid-area: 1 / 1; }
img:first-of-type { filter: grayscale(1) invert(1); }
img:last-of-type {
clip-path: circle(0); transition: clip-path;
}
a:hover img:last-of-type { clip-path: circle(100%); }

i rlly want no diff, no terminal, no techy stuff… just a preview tool with timeline + speed/quality/cost triangle that plans in the bg and is trained to write vertically sliced code i can trust. i wanna visualise software like a growing flower timelapse

If you're not using #CSS grid regularly, you probably don't realize how powerful it is!
Here's a slightly-corporate button I made using animatable CSS grid properties.

Had fun with these upvote/downvote micro-animations for @makelemmynade today!
Done in #sveltejs with #css and a touch of #javascript
Part of design and development is making things usable for everyone.
This design system I stumbled on has some awesome tips for designing for many learning styles and thought patterns. neurodiversity.design/
Did you know that lazy loading images is possible with plain #HTML? You can also tell the browser to prioritize or de-prioritize loading of an image by setting the "decoding" attribute.
