Alchemy as a GTM strategy for fusion power.
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10.
Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years.
Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.

I joined @neondatabase 💚
I'll be doing DX and leading open source at Neon. Also I guess I'm their mascot now. 😂
Orcs are green. Neon is green. It was meant to be. 🟢
I love Neon, and I love the team even more. This move just made sense.
The channel stays OrcDev. Same orc. Same Horde.
Follow along. Things are about to get interesting 👀

It's super easy to take your existing SQL queries in Next.js and make them update *live* with @neondatabase Realtime!
It's only a few new lines of code 🤯

Replying to @neondatabase
@neondatabase Realtime v0.1.2 now supports React Native! 🎉
One todo app, running on native and web. Make a change in either and watch it sync to the other 👇

This is such an awsome overview of @neondatabase Realtime, and how you can build advanced multi-user/agent systems on it with @mastra.
Perfect pairing! 🚀🥳

I couldn't resist building this cool demo and @claudeai Opus 5.5 absolutely loved working with Neon Realtime!

this is a very good AI that works episode by @dexhorthy and @aaronvi
great example of how to build an AI pipeline by starting with the simplest thing that works & iterating on it over time, plus some cool real-world Jev use-cases

Neon realtime is so on brand with everything we do.
Hardcore database engineering from first principles and an elegant developer interface.
We will be blogging more about all the query processing approach we took here.
@ElectricSQL team cooked!
Let’s make sync mainstream 🤝
I considered building @jazz_tools on Postgres so many times and always decided against it. Couldn’t ask for a better contender for this thesis than Electric at Neon.
Let’s make sync engines mainstream.
If you’re looking to build local-first and collaborative apps on sync with awesome DX, look no further than @jazz_tools

Previously the combination of realtime subscriptions + Neon scale-to-zero didn’t work — open sockets kept the compute awake.
That’s fixed with Neon Realtime.
Clients connect via WebSocket to Neon’s Live SQL API (ingress layer), not directly to Postgres. Those connections are terminated at the API, which then multiplexes to the live query engine over a single connection. Holding open subscriptions does not prevent the database from scaling to zero — only initiating a live query wakes it if it’s suspended.
So you get live SQL (any query, joins/aggregates included) without losing the serverless behavior!!!
My dream of using Electric with Neon is now coming true!
We tried for years at Electric to make expressive partial replication that scaled. We've done it in 2 months inside Neon. Precisely because we have access to and control over the Postgres internals within Lakebase.
Built by the Electric team (who also did pglite, i.e. Postgres on WASM), Neon Realtime is an incremental query engine to make it dramatically easier to build apps that sync data in realtime.
It leverages the Lakebase architecture's separation of storage and compute to run on a separate compute instance. This avoids overwhelming the primary write Postgres instance and pushes the write operations incrementally to all the subscribers.
Check it out. You can now build complex realtime sync apps in just a few lines of code. This is a great example of how hardcore database technologies can make the app developers' lives much simpler.

Electric re-born as Neon Realtime!
The team has been *flying* the last couple months completely re-building Electric in a new company and a new codebase. With a new take, we've been able to dramatically increase the SQL coverage that can sync.
