The 2022 floods were largely driven by human-induced climate change!
Years of large dam and water projects promoted by the World Bank and ADB have worsened Pakistan's climate situation.
Harmful projects, like debt-heavy dams on the Indus, costly coal power, reliance on fossil fuels, and poorly planned privatization, have pushed the country to the edge.
Pakistan’s climate and debt crisis can not be understood, let alone resolved, without addressing the historical injustices responsible for this catastrophe.

The countries most affected by climate change are often those that contribute the least to greenhouse gas emissions.
