Although not much new information was available for Mexico, the nation's only known violent tornado is now properly recorded on the site. Previously, only the US portion was included, where the tornado caused EF3 damage in Texas.

The Xenia F5, as seen in Tornado Archive from a Fujita diagram I traced. Really excited now that we can start to make so many detailed analyses accessible in one place.

All the way back in 1995 someone made a worldwide tornado climatology map based on known tornado occurrences. 27 years later with the help of @torarchive I've been able to make a better one... @essl_ecss @NWSSPC @sigtor2019 @BOM_au 1/2

SR Hodographs/CAPE from the April 3 1974 outbreak. Note how the various hodo shapes resulted in different natures of the supercells (cyclical vs steady state).

TIL, Australia's tornado history is nearly identical to its pop. distribution. There's numerous reasons why that may be, People want to live where fresh water is, which correlates well with where it rains/storms. But, low population density leads to few sightings. @torarchive

Notable facts on tomorrow's severe weather potential: 1. It's the first time in meteorological winter (DJF) that Minnesota has been included in a Slight Risk on the Day 2 outlook, at least back to 2002. 2. There are no tornadoes on record in the state during these months.
