Court challenges and a general strike. Only thing Smith will back down for
The gerrymandering has come out in Alberta. It means the end of 15 years of work on a level playing field for Lethbridge New Democrats. Profoundly illiberal, undemocratic, and a disgrace for every person involved in this fiasco.

#PLQ #PolQc #AssNat – at Orford, Québec

Danielle Smith's gerrymander in AB must be fought at every step and to the Supreme Court or even Disallowance It sets a dangerous precedent that will destroy Canadian democracy because Conservatives WILL copy it in EVERY province they control And it's almost all of them now 👇
Some pretty wild takeaways from today's electoral boundaries committee meeting: Lethbridge would be split into FOUR ridings instead of its current two urban ones. Three would combine city neighbourhoods with surrounding rural areas. Three urban-rural hybrid ridings are proposed along Calgary's northwest and western edges. Springbank gets split up. Kathleen Ganley questioned why the panel was citing GOLF COURSES to justify its boundaries. Okotoks and Diamond Valley would be split apart, with Diamond Valley paired with Banff. The panel's dissenting members say public submissions overwhelmingly favoured keeping them together. Ganley says Calgary and Edmonton ridings would average 7,000 more residents per MLA than ridings outside those cities. That's a 14 percent difference. The NDP wanted to put its concerns about the maps on the record. UCP MLAs voted 3–2 to end the committee's review before those motions could even be considered. The NDP also wanted taxpayers to know how much the panel and its outside consultants were paid. UCP MLAs voted that down too. Ganley says the panel chair gets an extra $5,000/month on top of regular pay. The UCP says the maps should be debated in the Legislature once they're public. The NDP wanted the committee to scrutinize them now. Meanwhile, Albertans still haven't seen the maps. The report is due November 2. #ableg #abpoli

Nothing screams personality disorder more than splitting! Usually not on a world stage but here we are. ! Desperate for attention and trying to split attention and positive regard for Canada away onto himself! Borderlines, Narcissists. Sociopaths ! Defining tactic
This is so revealing of who the new Premier is at heart and how he intends to be within Canada - will be fascinating to watch how Quebecers react to this.

Two, Peter. Same number as the opposition. The NDP government also appointed the chair, Justice Myra Bielby, as provided by law. The difference isn't who appointed the commission. It's what happened afterward. The NDP accepted the independent commission's recommendations after public consultation. The UCP didn't like the latest commission's maps, so it launched a second process without new public hearings.

Haley Stevens - by far the largest beneficiary of AIPAC money ever - met her fiancé, a $24,000 bundler to Susan Collins, through her finance chair David Kramer, who also announced this week that he was voting for Mike Rogers. Makes you go “Huh!! How about that!”
#MichiganSenate Detroit News: Haley Stevens' fiancé Jason Turkish says he believes Abdul El-Sayed is anti-semitic which has convinced him to vote for Mike Rogers. Turkish intends to attend a Mike Rogers event on Wednesday, Oct. 28, in Birmingham. There, Rogers is set to take part in a forum sponsored by the Republican Jewish Coalition titled, "Who Will Keep Us Safe? Rogers vs. El-Sayed in the Wake of October 7th and the Temple Israel Attack."

Rest assured our dear little pompous peacock - EU leaders will know exactly what you are doing and who you are They have had to deal with Putin and Orban and Visic and now the rise of AfD ! A grown man would have the courage and poise to attend dinner face to face

There is a 100% chance Haley Stevens will be asked about her fiancé planning to vote for Mike Rogers. I would encourage those who know Haley well and supported her in the primary who do not want to usher in another generation of a right wing Supreme Court to give her a ring before 9pm ET to remind her of what’s at stake in this election.
Haley Stevens will join me tonight at 9 p.m. ET.

🛬 Touchdown in Montréal 🇨🇦 Rarely have I looked forward to a Summit this much. An ocean separates Europe and Canada. Yet we have never felt closer. We have a new ambition: bringing Canada closer to us than ever before, as Associate Member of the EU. And we want to take our unique partnership even further. With an Alliance for the Future, we will stand together and respond to a world of growing rivalries. Montréal, we’re about to write a new chapter in our shared history.

PM Carney doesn’t have a problem Plamodon now does after revealing himself on the world stage to be a duplicitous sneaky seditious weasel. EU leaders are well acquainted with his ilk - too cowardly to even sit down with them for dinner.

The vote was just held. It was defeated. All Bloc, NDP and Liberals voted against it. The PM gave the Nay an extra boost by being in the House for the live vote. Thank you @MarkJCarney. @ellisbross abstained and @AaronGunn voted yea. Poilievre electronically voted yea.
Well well well, there's an extremely important vote happening this afternoon on Bill C 264 by Con MP David McKenzie has the sole objective of completely dismantling the West Coast Tanker Ban. Following intense parliamentary debate on Monday, the deciding vote is today around 3.
