The Conservative camp has been trying to restrict media access this whole campaign. And now they're telling journalists to "go away".
Lorne Doerkson meets with volunteers and candidate Alex McMillan in Eby’s riding of Vancouver-Point Grey. It was supposed to be a photo op but a reporter asked Doerkson how he responds to Eby calling him a “Trojan horse” for extreme candidates. Here’s what he said:

BC Conservative official ‘I have been in favour of slavery since 2016’- What fresh hell is this?
Lorne Doerkson knows his plan will cost you - so he's hiding from questions about it again today.
He's holding private fundraisers instead, and promising his donors things that aren't in his platform.
Doerkson's hidden plan: healthcare cuts and higher costs.

Gordon Campbell’s vicious attack on health care workers and teachers harmed thousands of workers and their families. We’re STILL repairing the damage. There is no future in failed conservative ideology.
We remember Gordon Campbell. Just ask a teacher or a healthcare worker.
We experienced Campbell’s cuts, chaos, and higher costs. We can’t afford to go through that again.

BCers, if you like what PM Carney is doing for BC (and we do in spades according to polls), vote for Eby’s NDP. He’s been a surprisingly effective partner for the federal Libs and that makes a massive difference in our lives. If you want roadblocks, walls & pushback, vote BC Con.

I'm honoured to have the support of my friend, MP @Taleeb. Throughout my career as a police officer and public servant, my commitment has always been to keep our community safe and strong.
The choice in Vancouver-Yaletown couldn't be clearer: protecting and strengthening our public healthcare with the BC NDP, or risking multi-billion-dollar cuts to local hospitals and care services.
Advance voting is happening right now, and we need every single vote to bring this home. Don't wait - get out and cast your ballot today!

When Gordon Campbell promised a big income tax reduction he paid for it by removing class size provisions for kids and rolling back the wages of healthcare workers. Both were found to be unconstitutional by the SCC. The BCC seems to be modelling his platform. #bcpoli
BC Conservative platform is out conservativebc.ca/plan/ - I’ll take a closer look but at first glance, don’t see a detailed plan to pay for major promises incl. big income tax cut other than talk of accelerating economic growth. Deficit reduction similar to NDPs. More to come

The pattern of troubling conduct from the BC Conservatives is concerning. In 2026, the public has every right to expect better. Our values are defined not simply by the principles we profess, but by the conduct we tolerate and the standards we are prepared to uphold.

I'm glad the rest of BC has noticed @HeatherMaahs and her awful views.
One thing that's been missed: her blog post supporting a slave auction in a school, and **putting a student in blackface** in school productions of To Kill a Mockingbird. #bcpoli

I guess it's not really hard times in BC for some folks. There's a reason these folks want to go back to the good old days of speculation & property flipping. It's not because they want to ensure #housing for you. #bcpoli #KeepBigMoneyOutofPolitics

I'm at the Massey Tunnel site with the workers building our new toll-free tunnel. The BC Conservatives would cancel it and send them home. We're going to finish it. Join me live: youtube.com/live/j-_REsn6rSo
Today in Coquitlam, at the site of the new Burke Mountain High School, I talked about what’s at stake in this election.
The Conservative leader’s promises blow a $5 billion hole in the budget, and he still won’t say how he’d pay for it. BC Conservatives have admitted education and health care would take the brunt.
Our plan will:
1. Keep building the schools and hospitals our growing communities need
2. Keep hiring doctors and teachers
3. Ask those with the most to chip in a bit more
4. Take on big oil and the grocery giants to bring down your costs
5. Keep working with the Prime Minister to build a stronger, more independent Canada
The BC Conservatives will cut schools and hospitals. We’ll keep building them. That’s how we build B.C. strong.

This is bananas. Construction has already started and the federal government has committed up to $3 billion for this project.
And the BC Conservatives just want to….throw it all away?
NEW - @Conservative_BC promise to scrap long-delayed @bcndp Massey Tunnel project (which still doesn’t have enviro approval) and build a 10 lane bridge instead.
Also promises to complete new Surrey Hospital in Cloverdale, and build a new Women and Children's Hospital in Surrey.

A $5 billion costing gap. No clear answers. With British Columbians voting tomorrow, Lorne Doerkson owes voters an explanation.
Will he face the media today and answer the tough questions?
