I think there’s an amazing opportunity for storytelling,@StanChartKE, you just need to connect the dots… look at 1.The Runner 2. The beneficiary & the impact …..connect the stories & the cause becomes easier to advocate for……

You’re deep in the estate renovating a bathroom and adding some tiles here and there, out of nowhere kanjo wako kwa gate knocking. Yet somehow they missed a whole ghorofa being built without any approvals.

The number of children attending public primary and secondary schools has doubled since 2003 (7 million to 14 million). The infrastructure has by and large remained the same. That it is not a big agenda item in all these years is a failure of the adults (politicos and voters).

Kenya has officially secured access to the Chinese market for dried chillies, opening a new export opportunity for local farmers and traders. Now, before any exports begin, businesses must register their facilities and meet China’s food safety and plant health requirements

I need journalists to get back to analysis. It's not enough to report the loss. Give us reasons why this could be happening and map out different scenarios. Is it poor org leadership, or is it taxes and manufacturing costs? Lift the veil and take us on an analytical journey
L'Oreal East Africa, which markets and distributes personal care and beauty products such as Garnier, Maybelline, L'Oreal Paris etc, made a loss of Sh747.8m (€4.99m) in the last financial year according to disclosures made by its parent firm, L'Oreal. This is a wider loss compared to the loss of Sh116.3m (€775,570) it made in the prior year. [Sources on the next post]

Do you know about Standard Chartered Foundation? And Futuremakers? They benefit the last from the proceeds. There is a Stanchart foundation logo on the back of this year's tshirt

Should run a Medal Monday campaign where all race finishers don their medals the Monday after the race with pride.
Hatujapumuwa leo 🤣. Medals everywhere. And stories kibao about how races unfolded. A unifying thing in a fragmented world. Nice scenes. Perhaps Stanchart marathon should have post race wear for runners to don on the Monday after 😂

Here’s a little hack for your lamb ribs: Chop some onions and fresh parsley or coriander and mix with olive oil. When the ribs are almost ready to serve, toss them in the mixture, wrap in foil and let them cook for another 10 minutes. The aroma, the taste… 👌🏾🤌🏾

Avos from mama's kibunget (kitchen garden) 😋 Super creamy, zimeiva kwa mti, bila mushy spots. Na ziko moooob. Organic fertilizer za livestock works wonders. Even on mboga za kiyenyeji. Whole, natural foods make me so happy!

It is also incredibly difficult to rebuild trust with a regime that KILLED its citizenry for demanding better. My opinion is that conversations on trust (which are VERY important) can only be had BEFORE certain lines are crossed. Killing us crossed that line.
I’m really struggling with this Trust Summit thing. Institutions that have eroded public trust don’t need summits to restore it. Trust is earned through action, not built in rooms that cost billions to convene. It’s earned by upholding mandates, doing right by the people, and delivering services. I know we’ll say we can’t afford to be absent from rooms where people are “trying” to fix things. But can we stop holding summits to solve problems that require actual work?

This is why I don't do these large concerts anymore. I find the smaller, more curated, music events offer better value. You can't compare Mutoriah's events and such. All that money for a playback track? No live accompaniments?
