Roads policing inspector Dave Barf and @Mac1Don are right about excessive speeds endangering safety of all inc walkers & cyclists harrogateadvertiser.co.uk/ne… Isn’t it time for lower limits and speed cameras in N Yorks?

Ebikes are the future. Ride mine in the Yorkshire Dales several times a week. Best money I ever spent. Struggle to do 20 miles nowadays on road bike, can sail along for 60, 70 no problem on ebike. (Not during lockdown obvs). Extra power&weight means take extra care.
Great to hear you’ve joined the club Gareth. It replaces a car, all those journeys saving petrol , money, pollution and time, keeping you fit and feeling good. Spread the love! Join fellow ebiker commenters @manda_c_barrett @loose85 @JoMaher8 @sandicarman @stevehaake @jezmccole
Many towns and cities are trying out inexpensive ‘frugal innovations’ to promote cycling and walking while traffic is low. What is highways authority trying out in NYorks? Any temporary cycle lanes, lower speed limits, any changes or new ideas at all?
New sign this week at Bilton Lane entrance to Greenway. ‘Sustrans Nidderdale Greenway. National Cycle Network Route 67’.
I just supported this case! crowdjustice.com/case/stop-l… via @CrowdJustice
It’s 20 on Pannal Ash Road past Rossett High. Andrew Jones MP supports 20 limit outside schools. I agree but in my view 20 is plenty on all urban roads, as Sustrans say. ALL speed limits should be cut during the pandemic to reduce accidents and free up NHS resources.

Agree. Anyone else think the local plan sells Harrogate district down the river? A developer’s dream. What happened to planning for sustainability? Energy efficient buildings, minimising car use, encouraging public transport, cycling and walking?
Replying to @thestrayferret
In fact, let's start with the local plan. It's time it was properly scrutinised.
