strange/nice seeing my first bit of PhD writing sneak out into the world. In the newest @QMiP bulletin, @dan_shepperd @DrRachelShaw & I discursively examine @KenLoachSixteen's #IDanielBlake: what implications does the 'immaculate construction' of Dan Blake have for ESA claimants?

generational categories must be (?) one of the most widely understood/utilised Western taxonomies. is there ‘critical’ writing out there on this? Feels like there’s this acceptance that the years we are born into entail shared traits or ways of being…

not that I’m trying to dismiss the whole concept, just that sometimes the ‘consequences’ (of being ‘gen z’, for example) seem so broad that “generations” end up functioning more like a catch-all, sociological horoscope 🔮

come see me think out loud about photographs and phenomenology. how might people living with chronic heath conditions use images to represent experiences of their health and attempts at accessing UK welfare? May 10th, Café Artum, see you there?? @AstonPsychology
