.@POTUS and @VP are leading the most pro-farmer Administration in American history. 🇺🇸 From lowering diesel costs to delivering harvest relief, this Administration is fighting to lower costs for America’s farmers and ranchers. Read my latest op-ed in @detroitnews ⬇️ detroitnews.com/story/opinio…

Washington’s Department of Ecology (DOE) has made it crystal clear whose side they’re on—and it’s not the farmers and ranchers who actually feed this state, or the consumers that rely on them for food and fiber. The DOE isn’t dealing with isolated violations. The number of producers the DOE is targeting shows every sign of being a deliberate, coordinated attack on agriculture. On October 16, the Northeast Washington Counties Farm Bureau hosted a public meeting in Colville specifically to discuss Ecology’s “Straight to Implementation” process and “potential to pollute” enforcement letters—letters sent without site-specific water quality data, based on the idea that agriculture, logging, and rural living itself are the top pollution threats. Local lawmakers were there. Landowners were there. Ecology was invited. They committed, then backed out. Their excuse? A “lack of security provided for them.” Why would an organization that is supposed to serve the public need security at a public meeting? Could it be because the DOE has been witnessed and documented lying to senators and threatening ranch and farm owners? If your job is to regulate private landowners based on “potential” rather than proof, the least you can do is show up and defend it. Instead, Ecology would rather hide behind supposed security concerns and wage cowardly lawfare against those who work to feed our nation. The DOE has gone after multi-generational operations with massive fines, liens, and multi-million-dollar “restoration” orders for the crime of maintaining stock ponds, irrigating with their own water rights, or simply existing on rural land. Wade and Teresa King face a $267,000+ penalty and a projected $3.7 million restoration bill over stock ponds Ecology decided were protected wetlands—largely from satellite photos. Ron Fode has been hit with hundreds of thousands in penalties over water use while claiming Ecology never provided the technical assistance the law requires. 85-year-old Bob Greiff has a lien on his farm and over $100,000 in fines for putting water on the “wrong” field. And the Diamond M Ranch is facing a poorly disguised land grab, as the DOE threatens to fence off a river on Diamond M’s private property with arbitrarily wide margins that would essentially remove 500 acres of the ranch’s own land from production. If you’re in Washington state and experiencing these kinds of issues, we want to hear from you. Email us at [email protected] If you are experiencing these kinds of issues, we also encourage you to submit a claim through the USDA’s Lawfare Portal. @johnrich @USDA @POTUS @BrookeLRollins @DuquetteDave1 @yearlins @LonesomeLands usda.gov/lawfare #agriculture #washington #ranching #departmentofecology #farming

Appreciate @AngelNewsGal and @OANN for taking the time to talk about what @USDA is doing to deliver an America First agriculture agenda. Ensuring fair competition for the inputs farmers require to grow their crops benefits everyone.
The Trump administration is targeting high farming costs with new antitrust investigations, $8 billion in harvest relief and a push to expand American fertilizer production. USDA Deputy Secretary Stephen Alexander Vaden tells OAN’s @AngelNewsGal how lowering farmers’ expenses could eventually help families at the grocery store. Watch OAN on OAN Live for more updates.

Tried to kill the cattle market and then slips payments to row crops. Might be pro farmer, but still looking like Benedict Arnold to the cattlemen.
President Trump is the most pro-farmer president of my lifetime, and he is continuing to put Farmers First every day. 🇺🇸 Tonight in Kansas, @POTUS announced $8 BILLION in one-time payments through @USDA’s new Harvest Fuel Relief Program to help American farmers facing higher fuel costs and market disruptions.  This relief will help bring certainty to our farmers during harvest so they can continue to feed our nation.   Our farmers show up for America every single day. Under President Trump, we will ALWAYS show up for them.

👏Another step in putting American producers first. @USDA @SecRollins is urging states to review wolf management policies and partner with ranchers to combat livestock predation. We applaud this action to protect livestock and defend the livelihoods of hardworking Americans. The next step is for the Senate to act and pass @RepBoebert and @RepTiffany’s Pet and Livestock Protection Act, which passed the House last year.
For too long, American ranchers have watched wolves kill their livestock, threaten their livelihoods, and devastate family operations built over generations. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Under @POTUS, we are putting RANCHERS FIRST. 🇺🇸 We are working directly with states to strengthen wolf management, expand protections for livestock, and ensure ranchers have the tools they need to defend their herds — including lethal removal when authorized by law. Our ranchers deserve the right to defend their herds and the livelihoods they have worked generations to build. We will ALWAYS stand with the American rancher. ⬇️ usda.gov/about-usda/news/pre…

This is similar to what is happening in the Tx Panhandle. @Google wants to eliminate the #beef industry while satisfying their corporate greed and #greenenergy plan. @caseymurph1 @johnrich @SecRollins politico.com/news/2026/10/13…

Jim Chilton is a legendary rancher in Arizona. The border crime he documented on his ranch will make the hair on your neck stand up. I had the honor to meet Mr. Chilton last summer.

I've been working on this story for years. It's about my hometown, my family, and the water that built Northern California. It's the most important piece I've reported. If they take the dams, I want there to be a record of what happened. 🔗 americaunwon.com/p/the-mount…

The most important news story for rural America right now. For anyone who thinks this is a good idea look up Eden Prairie MN homecoming game.
REVEALED: A think tank co-founded by Facebook’s founding president wants an entirely NEW visa category to repopulate struggling American communities with foreign workers. It’s called the HEARTLAND VISA. They’ve already mapped roughly 1,700 potentially eligible counties—home to 58 MILLION Americans. The Economic Innovation Group, co-founded by Sean Parker, wants at least 100,000 visas a year. The pitch is explicit: “In exchange for living in a Heartland Visa community, workers with sufficient earnings will gain permanent residency” American communities become the destination. Green cards become the incentive. The proposal targets places struggling with population decline, including rural communities and former industrial centers. Foreign workers would have to live in a participating area—but could work for an employer located elsewhere. The think tank also proposes replacing labor certification with an earnings test for the green-card pathway. That would remove the usual labor-market test from this proposed route to permanent residency. The idea has already reached Capitol Hill. Republican Senator Todd Young and then-Senator Joe Manchin introduced a version in December 2024. Supporters included AOL co-founder Steve Case, Americans for Prosperity and the Niskanen Center. County officials would decide whether their communities participate. EIG continued lobbying for the proposal in 2026. This is an organized push to turn population decline into a justification for a new immigration program.

“…with a faith born not of words but of deeds.” Those words from the FFA Creed represent the Future Farmers of America organization that changed my life and the lives of generations of young Americans. There is no American future without American farmers. My FFA used to be the very foundation for that future. But this is NOT that same FFA. These misguided actions do not reflect that legacy. They are wrong, deeply troubling, and demand answers. I’m looking into it. Stand by. @NationalFFA

Great documentary on the injustice being carried out by the state of Washington.
Two Washington farming families are facing down the Washington Department of Ecology. Both are facing crushing fines for operating business as usual. In new short documentary, “Water & Punishment,” the Kings and Fodés finally tell their own stories.

Alex @alex_fasulo is a first generation farmer and land owner in upstate New York. I asked her for an interview after seeing her social videos uncovering corruption involving solar plants; potential government collusion with solar conglomerates in her area. She has moved the needle tremendously for her community on a topic of tremendous importance that of course the media was not paying attention to. It echoes patterns happening out West to ranchers like Casey Murph. @caseymurph1 But we are in a time where journalists no longer view themselves as working class, they don’t think that they have a responsibility to their communities (they’re totally out of touch with their communities), they don’t view their job as one that requires legwork, conversations with everyday Americans, speaking uncomfortable truths to power. Journalism has become an effete, cerebral profession rather than a scrappy, working class job. It has become an exercise in maintaining the status quo. People like Alex do their jobs for them and all they can do in response is investigate Alex, sit in their offices and search her social media for something they think is “incriminating.” They no longer go outside and find stories, they wait for stories to come to them. This is why there are so many media pieces about social media and tech trails and such paltry accurate coverage on real substantive issues—land use, industry, natural resources, food supply chains. What this POLITICO writer is attempting to do to Alex, a citizen whistleblower, is not normal, it’s not traditional journalistic behavior, and it’s certainly not the profession that I studied. It is why I’ve gone independent and it’s why more and more voices like Alex’s will continue to gain prominence. Alex, we love you and we have your back! Thanks for being a fighter.

This is taken from a speech Jim Mundorf gave to the South Dakota Stockgrowers, in 2025, outlining why the agriculture industry had invested in the climate movement, and the dangers of doing so. Last week Secretary Rollins and the USDA ordered checkoff programs to halt spending on ESG, net-zero, and climate neutrality initiatives.
