People who vote for AES, or Paxton, as a lesser evil should still speak to their failings.
Conservatives who went along with Trump instrumentally after 2016 went silent on his many defects and condemned those of us who didn't. Much danger lies that way.

America can survive a Democratic Congress and some bad legislation. It can’t survive an unchecked wannabe dictator who has no regard for the rule of law.
Politico: Republicans are bracing for a brutal election night, convinced they’re set to face some previously unthinkable losses in deep-red Trump territory as key battleground races hang on a knife’s edge.
One Republican strategist working on midterm races simply responded to a question about the environment with a video of a dumpster on fire that was being swept away by flood waters

This is the official White House outlet. Posting a clearly racist, demonizing, and dehumanizing picture. All to further stoke hatred and fear towards others.
Stop calling this administration Christian.
Stop calling this administration American.
They are white nationalists.

Maria Corina Machado from Venezuela:
"We must dismantle the system of corruption and socialism. We must choose free markets. Only in this way can we begin to change this disaster."
Honestly—where is the outrage? Leaders on left and the right should be calling this what it is—hateful, racist & intolerant. Clearly this is the dirty work of @StephenM, the most dangerous person in the Administration.

Now is the time to announce the path to free elections. I endorse Senator Bernie Moreno’s call for a Presidential election by July 24, 2027, the birthday of Liberator Simón Bolívar. Liberate Venezuela from dictatorship. Liberate Venezuela from foreign domination. Venezuela for Venezuelans!
After more than 10 months in exile, Venezuelan opposition leader and Nobel laureate María Corina Machado has returned home.
"I am here. With you," Machado announced on X Sunday morning shortly before other members of the opposition confirmed her arrival without providing details. cnn.it/4slYBFE
Who says the “process” should be controlled by Washington or, worse, by the Chavista regime itself?
Authoritarian regimes love “process” when it buys them time and keeps them in power. Democracy means respecting the will of the people.
Carlos Giménez should understand that. On January 6 and 7, 2021, he voted to sustain objections to the certified electoral votes from Arizona and Pennsylvania.
As Miami-Dade mayor, his administration refused to implement the 2012 Pets’ Trust vote, and in South Dade he pushed bus rapid transit instead of the Metrorail expansion voters had been promised under the 2002 People’s Transportation Plan.
South Dade suffered, but they will prevail in 8 days.

My dear friend, Nobel Peace Prize Winner María Corina Machado is back in #Venezuela where she rightfully belongs!
The Venezuelan people deserve freedom and democracy! Thanks to Sec. Marco Rubio & President Trump’s leadership we’re closer than ever before! #SetTheDate
Echoes from 30 years ago. The Republican Party used to stand for the principle that Americans by choice are as American as Americans by birth. Listen to the raucous applause. We can be that Party again. #principlesfirst

The conditions allowing for the safe return of Ms. Machado to Venezuela is the direct result of the U.S. supported reconciliation talks which has already seen hundreds of political prisoners freed and hundreds of political opposition figures return from exile.
The United States expects the freedoms of all sectors of Venezuelan politics to continue to be respected. Likewise, we expect all political actors to support these talks which represent the best chance Venezuela has had in thirty years to peacefully achieve not just a free and fair election but an enduring democracy.

We are way past "but judges." Conservatives need to speak plain truths, no longer default to party line votes, and actively fight for a better GOP, or build a new party. The Trump led GOP is sick, corrupt, and a betrayal of the values that once animated our great party. – at Falls Church, VA

Helping Putin in Ukraine is reckless. He would not stop with Ukraine and our NATO allies would be next. Putin is fanatically committed to restoring Russia’s glory days, calling the collapse of the Soviet Union “the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century” and claiming Russia was "robbed" in the breakup.

Reminder: Thom Tillis, John Cornyn, and Bill Cassidy are all current sitting Senators. They have the ability to do more than complain and put out statements. If they don’t act now, when they have real power, I don’t want to see them on TV in four months opining.

Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin.
