Not sure if this ludicrous analysis being a griftclown act makes it more or less embarrassing.
Talk of Trump reinventing himself is insane for the simple fact he's not mentally able to. Promoting Miller is proof of that, yet this fraud psychotically pretends it's the opposite.
Iโm in Iowa, first in the nation caucus state. From a profit to engagement standpoint, I have every motivation to turn the page to 2028 speculation and intrigue right away. So why am I not doing so?
Because the first thing that has to be fixed is Trumpโs standing with the American people, or this will spill over like 1974 did to 1976 and 2006 did to 2008 and we will lose in 2028 โ no matter who the nominee is.
Trump has to reinvent himself politically (as heโs successfully done before) like Bill Clinton did following a similarly harsh midterm rebuke from voters in 1994, and he went on to a sweeping victory in 1996.
Encouraging and incentivizing that reinvention is what I believe our movement/industry needs to focus on right now, thus it is my focus. I could care less about 2028 until we fix what led to 2026. Many of the seeds of 2028 will be planted in the next 6-12 months by whether the Trump presidency can be successfully reinvented.
Hopefully the move of @StephenM to COS is a sign of things to come. More of that please.
This idiocy is the opposite extreme of the Vanceguard spin that it was all about Iran. The war being *less* of an issue than the economy and corruption obviously does not mean it "was not even *a* big issue."
Wasn't Levin supposed to be smart?
This is precisely the kind of garbage propaganda you'd expect from a publication majority-owned by one of America's most prominent peddlers of antisemitism.
As things stand now, JD Vance has the best shot to win the general election as any Republican currently thought of as GOP nominee contenders. He had the right position on the war from the beginning, was brave enough to correctly diagnose the causes of the midterm disaster (and use the I-word while doing so), and is the only one with the background and the populist bona fides to win the Rust Belt again, which will be absolutely essential.
You'll notice that both the left and the establishment, Israel-First right hate him with the passion of a thousand suns, and this is why.
I doubt the names got confused just because I don't think there would've been *no* discussion of the real person when they were proposing her to Trump. Much more likely that hearing her name inspired Trump's dumbass idea to ask the UFC Dana White instead.
This endorsement is a credibility kiss of death.
On behalf of America, Iโm calling on @SenRonJohnson to run for minority leader in the Senate.

We are in some wildly entertaining times.
The online influencer ecosystem has drifted far from its roots. What began as largely ideology-driven has become almost entirely financially driven.
For most of the past year, Iโve been calling for the FTC to update its guidelines so that paid political content faces the same disclosure requirements as paid promotions of commercial products: clothing, food, cosmetics, or anything else.
Right now, if someone is paid to support or oppose a candidate or political issue online, no disclosure is required.
Itโs time for that to change.
This unhinged reaction isn't even coherent. What "sheepthink blindness to truth"? What does DeSantis speaking to Ryan have to do with anything I said?

This is a good point. Trump attacked him relentlessly for not locking down while praising Newsome and Cuomo for their draconian lockdowns and tried to usurp power of the states himself to force lockdowns. Find your balls and cease the cuck behavior, @GovRonDeSantis.

There is nothing more degenerate, subversive, and corrosive today that so-called conservative media.
Spent a good chunk of my weekend being reminded there are DeSantis fans *every bit* as fanatical, nasty, thin-skinned, & averse to criticism as MAGA. Important to know the personality-cult impulse does not belong to any one politician, but is a specter to always guard against.

It didn't matter.
The problem is Trump promised to make it better.
But for many Americans it hasn't. Lot of Americans have been stagnant, and even falling behind. And some of Trump's policies helped cause that.
The first two years under Trump have been better economically than what we lived through under Biden. No two ways about it.
Under Biden, inflation hit 9.1 percent. Gas prices were over $5 a gallon. Real wages got crushed for a long stretch and people felt it every time they filled up or bought groceries. Did everyone magically forget that?
Now inflation is running in the mid 3s. The labor market is holding up. We just got 165 thousand jobs added in October and unemployment back down to 4.1 percent! Hourly wages are up.
And now oil prices dropped right after the election even though nothing about the war has changedโฆ
Funny how that works.

It appears that a grand total of 45 Republican candidates for House, Senate or governor cleared 60% of the vote.

Replying to @bonchieredstate @KenGardner11
Ken's point is that RDS is conveniently avoiding the big problem with Republicans while simultaneously focusing on all the other minor problems.
A GOP worth a damn would remember that Congress is coequal to the executive branch and start openly disrespecting this senile lout as the worthless loser he is. But then, a GOP worth a damn wouldn't have gotten itself in this mess in the first place.

โWe just got our asses beat by trying everything I support, why would we let up now?โ
LOL. "Iโm a journalist, and I need a wide network of friends and contacts to do my job" is Megan's new transparently-fake rationalization for her pattern of supporting awful people.

Hearing people talk about the dereliction of duty for the President to not get Congressional approval of the Iran endeavor (a critique I wholeheartedly agree with) who never ever ever ever said a peep about the dereliction of duty in imposing tariff-taxes without Congressional approval is just mind-boggling. That level of hypocrisy and cowardice would, I would think, cause most people to sit it out. The shamelessness of our age โฆ
