🔹The two day second Executive Working Group Meeting under India–US Drug Policy Framework commenced today in New Delhi.
🔹Led by Shri Anurag Garg, DG, NCB, and Ms. Debbie Seguin, Deputy Director, ONDCP, USA, the meeting aims to advance cooperation in drug law enforcement and preventing precursor diversion, demand reduction and rehabilitation, and supply chain security.
🔹Discussions today focused on real time intelligence sharing, coordinated operations, scheduling of precursor chemicals, best practices in preventing diversion of precursor chemicals in partnership with the chemical industry and exchanging best practices in demand and harm reduction.

🚨 NCB has secured confirmation of freezing of 25 properties worth ₹20.10 crore in an inter-state pharmaceutical drug diversion case. The Competent Authority confirmed the freezing on 30 October 2026. This action preserves assets for further proceedings.
🔷️ Investigations that began with seizure of 5000 tablets of tramadol in Amritsar spanned seven States and led to 17 arrests and seizures of approximately 34 lakh psychotropic tablets and 10.57 lakh bottles of codeine-based cough syrup over a period of time.
🔷️ Through network-centric enforcement and parallel financial investigation, NCB is targeting trafficking networks and disrupting the financial support ecosystems that sustain them.

A major milestone has been achieved with the busting of two clandestine drug laboratories in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The operation led to the seizure of huge quantities of synthetic drugs, drug precursors and equipment, and the arrest of two individuals, including one foreign national.
It is a remarkable example of intelligence-led enforcement and a testament to our unwavering commitment to dismantling drug cartels before December 2029, in line with the Vision Document on Narcotics Control 2026–2029, adopted under Modi Ji’s Mission for Nashamukt Bharat.
