Tip , make sure your report is pretty

Have any of my followers completed any of these certifications? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Were they worth the investment?
Not from an HR perspective, but from the standpoint of improving your skills and the quality of your content.
Cool, the modules look great, but I’m paying out of my own pocket, so I need to make sure it’s worth it. Is access lifetime? Also, they say pricing starts at $700. Are there any hidden costs?
Qwen3.8-35B-A3B is reportedly generating around 50 tokens/sec on an RTX 3060 with just 12GB of VRAM and 16GB of system RAM.
The same setup reportedly processes prompts at around 550 tokens/sec, using Q4_K_M quantization and a configured 262K context window.
Here’s the hardware and software configuration:
GPU: RTX 3060, 12GB VRAM
System RAM: 16GB
Model quantization: Q4_K_M
Generation speed: ~50 tokens/sec
Prompt processing: ~550 tokens/sec
Configured context: 262K tokens
Runtime: llama.cpp with Flash Attention and an 8-bit KV cache
How can a model with 35B parameters run on hardware with these memory limits?
The answer starts with its Mixture-of-Experts architecture.
Qwen3.8-35B-A3B contains roughly 35B total parameters, but activates around 3B parameters per token.
Instead of performing computation across every parameter for each generated token, the model routes work through selected experts. This reduces the computation required during generation.
However, active parameters and total model size are two different things. The full collection of weights still needs to be stored in GPU memory, system RAM, or a combination of both.
That’s where this setup gets interesting.
Hybrid inference makes the available memory go further.
The reported configuration offloads 26 MoE layers to the CPU, splitting the workload between the RTX 3060 and system RAM.
Q4_K_M quantization reduces the weight footprint, while Flash Attention and an 8-bit KV cache help manage memory use during inference.
The trade-off is that CPU offloading can introduce additional latency. Performance depends on the CPU, memory bandwidth, prompt length, and how much computation stays on the GPU.
There are two figures worth distinguishing:
550 tokens/sec is prompt-processing speed, not generation speed. These are separate stages of inference, and fast prompt processing doesn’t automatically mean equally fast text generation.
Likewise, a configured 262K context window describes the intended capacity, not a guarantee that every prompt length will fit comfortably or run at the same speed.
The real test is agentic coding
Generating 50 tokens/sec is useful, but speed alone doesn’t tell us whether a model can function as a coding agent.
An agent needs to inspect files, understand a repository, execute commands, diagnose errors, modify code, and verify its fixes. It must also recover when its first approach fails.
That’s why the planned comparisons with Ornith-1.5-35B, Qwen3.8-27B, and Qwen3.6-35B-A3B are worth watching.
Testing these models through Hermes and Pi coding-agent workflows could reveal differences in tool use, debugging, task completion, and recovery from failed attempts.
If Qwen3.8-35B-A3B can handle those workflows reliably while running locally on a 12GB GPU, it could offer developers a practical alternative to relying entirely on cloud-based coding models.
The reported performance makes this setup interesting. The next question is whether that speed translates into reliable results on real development tasks.

The potential impact of the ConnectWise supply chain attack is massive.
One compromised OAuth application with elevated permissions could give attackers access to emails, files, and directory data across hundreds of Microsoft 365 tenants.
Even worse, attackers could establish persistent access by adding credentials to other applications, surviving the revocation of the original compromised credentials.
And with MSPs involved, the potential blast radius could extend even further to downstream customers.
We don't know the full extent of the compromise yet, but this could affect far more organizations than those directly using ConnectWise Cloud Backup.

🇺🇸 🚨 CALIFORNIA SAYS ETS BREACH COPIED STATEWIDE TESTING DATA ON PUBLIC-SCHOOL STUDENTS
Educational Testing Service (ETS), the nonprofit that runs California's statewide student assessments (CAASPP, ELPAC) under state contract, has begun notifying students and families, the California Department of Education said on Oct 16, 2026.
An unauthorized party used a compromised login credential to copy files from an ETS SFTP site between May 22 and Sept 18, 2026. ETS identified the activity on Sept 25.
The copied data covers students including, but not limited to, all those enrolled in the previous three school years. It may include names, birth dates, addresses, student IDs, demographics, disability/504 status and assessment results. No SSNs, financial data or passwords.
No total count has been given. ETS says it has found no evidence the data was made public. Notices began Oct 16 and are expected to run through early November.

🇺🇸 🚨 FLORIDA DMV (FLHSMV) CONFIRMS BREACH OF DRIVER LICENSE AND VEHICLE RECORDS, INCLUDING DOCUMENT IMAGES
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles said in an official Oct 16, 2026 notice that a malicious actor accessed department records on Sept 4, 2026 using compromised credentials.
Key details:
• FLHSMV attributes the breach to an "international cybercriminal organization"
• Access came through credentials of a local Florida law enforcement agency employee, which FLHSMV says were improperly stored on an electronic device
• Potentially affected: driver license and motor vehicle data, document images and other personal information
• FLHSMV has not said how many people are affected and says it has no evidence of misuse so far
• Letters are going out this week to current license and ID holders, with 1 year of Sontiq (TransUnion) monitoring and $1M identity theft insurance
• Former license, ID or title holders may not get a letter and are covered by a substitute notice
⚠️ Analyst Note:
License data plus document images is a strong kit for identity fraud and account takeover. Expect phishing that impersonates FLHSMV breach letters: check only via flhsmv.gov, and consider a credit freeze. One stored credential at a partner agency was enough to reach a statewide system.

That's right - an unsigned driver loaded and running with #HVCI enabled.
And the best part? The system still appears as locked down.

‼️ UPDATE: Calif showed one-tap attacks on Signal and iMessage on iOS, which make it possible to run code on an iPhone with a booby-trapped PDF.
On iOS 26.5, opening one in iMessage sent the phone's messages to a server.

Jagex has cancelled RuneScape Reignited just days after announcing it.
Reignited was planned as a fresh-start version of RuneScape, giving players new characters, progression and economies.
Jagex has now backed down.
“It is clear that we missed the mark on this, and so we are not moving forward with it.”
He also said the goal is to grow RuneScape without hurting the existing community.
“Our goal is to see RuneScape grow again, with returning players coming back and new players joining, but never at the expense of our existing community.”
Wow, €7239 fine came in from the city because I don’t have a job. Already told them I am looking for one with proof but can’t find one🫠, I will be moving to Greece, I can’t live here anymore. I am really thinking of actually moving out.
I think I will buy a one-way ticket back to Greece, for real this time.
No. Unemployed people tell the state, and get free health insurance. This "fine" his is debt to health insurance because he did NOT tell the state lmao
Replying to @Ivanklydz
I’m not poor, just jobless. It’s illegal to not have a job in Germany lol
