CONFESSIONS OF AN X VIRGIN 😇 Three months among you seasoned veterans. What could possibly go wrong? Three weeks away (well… almost 😅) seemed a reasonable excuse to consider what I had actually been away from. And I’ve reached a conclusion: X is rather wonderful. It’s an extraordinary meeting place for creativity — a slightly unruly room where art, music, lyrics, poetry, erotica, flirtation, humour, aesthetics, thoughts and ideas are allowed to bump into one another without being formally introduced. You can inspire. You can be inspired. You can meet people you would never have encountered otherwise. And occasionally, something genuinely beautiful happens. But. X is also a minefield — apparently more heavily mined than the Korean DMZ. 🤣 Interact with the “wrong” person and someone may quickly appear to explain why you shouldn’t. My rule is pretty simple: be kind, be supportive, trust your gut, don’t let other people do your thinking for you, spend five minutes checking the facts — and then make up your own mind. It really isn’t that complicated. 🤗 You do, after all, tend to reap what you sow. Anyway. Enough philosophy. I’m back. 😍 And I intend to spend my time here exactly where I started: Art. Music. Lyrics. Erotica. Poetry. Flirting. Humour. Aesthetics. Thoughts. Ideas. Preferably several at once. Anyone who wants to come along is very welcome.
