Eli, Eli —The Poem That Outlived the Holocaust

The sand and the sea,
The rush of the water,
The crash of the heavens

A documentary on a terror attack against Jews is apparently “too political” to publicise
BBC publicity staff were reportedly unwilling to promote a film commissioned by the broadcaster which spotlights the victims of the brutal 7th October 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel.
According to Jewish documentary-maker Lucie Kon, the BBC’s in-house publicists refused to market the documentary on the Nova festival massacre in southern Israel, titled ‘Surviving October 7th: We Will Dance Again’, due to its “subject matter”, which was allegedly considered “too political”. 364 Israeli civilians were killed at the music festival, and 44 were taken hostage.
One cannot but help recall that the BBC went on to broadcast a documentary that was narrated by the son of a senior Hamas official, whose family was paid BBC licence fee money for his participation. Apparently that propaganda film was not deemed too political by our national broadcaster.
Ms Kon reportedly said that the broadcaster allowed its press team to “abandon their duties”, which led her to hire a freelance publicist to promote the film instead. BBC sources appear to have contradicted this narrative, and have stated that the withdrawal was due to in-house publicists instead finding the content of the documentary too disturbing to watch.
The BBC has reportedly agreed to award Ms Kon a £400,000 payout after she claimed she was bullied out of the Corporation due to antisemitism.
It is telling that our national broadcaster appears happy to reward biased journalists and platform individuals who have allegedly expressed support for terror, but is unable to promote a documentary on the worst atrocity against Jews since the Holocaust.

Replying to @AJentleson
Voting for a normie Republican over the epitome of the green-red antisemitic alliance in one particular race isn't "cozying up to the GOP."
And that said, with MTG and Massie out, the GOP has nothing like the Jew-hating congressional caucus the Democrats have.

Kibbutz Be’eri — one of the Israeli communities that suffered the most on October 7th — still voted overwhelmingly for the Left.
They learned absolutely nothing.
Liberalism truly is a disease of the mind.
“Nuts!!!” is completely correct!

I used to review officer-involved shooting reports generated by a D.A. explaining the decision to exonerate officers, and recall often thinking “I mean, could that *really* be how it went down?” I suspected there may be some fog of war or selective memory or post-hoc justification to give the officer a rational justification and paint the victim in a negative, irrational light.
But with the post-2020 adoption of body cams, I now believe it all. There is no behavior too insane for a huge number of suspects when confronted with literally any command by an officer requesting some form of compliance.
Even I thought body cams would shine a light on some substantial percentage of clear officer abuse, but it’s clearly negligible, while dangerous and erratic behavior by suspects is widespread. It is impossible to overstate how wrong BLM and reform activists were on this count.

The Arab parties are able to vote? In Israel? An apartheid state? During a genocide?
With 40% of the vote counted in Israel, neither side has a clear and commanding lead, presaging weeks of gridlock, negotiations and uncertainty as parties try to form a governing coalition. Possible kingmakers: the Arab parties. Follow the latest here: nytimes.com/live/2026/10/28/…

Gaza is a more important issue and has been mentioned more than immigration in the UK Parliament. Let that sink in.
This is what I mean when I say the goal of the Palestinian cause is to be a distraction from the Islamic takeover of the West.
UK Parliament has mentioned Gaza more than the NHS or immigration.
In the Commons, Gaza racked up 9,228 mentions in roughly the first 10 months after the 2024 election — more than immigration/asylum (~5,700) or the NHS (~5,300).
A year on, it is still regularly debated: ceasefire, aid, arms, RAF flights, inquiries.
This is a conflict 2,000 miles away with no British troops on the ground, no UK territory at stake, and no direct threat to Britain.
Domestic problems — waiting lists, housing, borders — keep getting ignored.

(5/5) Mark my words: if Eizenkot forms a minority government relying on anti-Israel Arab parties for support, it will not last more than a year or so, and the next elections will return the most right wing government ever. If you don't want Smotrich and Ben Gvir as Defense & Foreign Minister, a unity gov't is needed now.

(3/5) In short, the Arab parties policies are 100% at odds with those of the Jewish opposition parties, except perhaps the Democrats. Those urging a minority gov't are either blinded by hatred for Bibi, or just identify with the Arab parties' destructive agenda.

I am a proud and loyal Democrat. I served in President Clinton’s National Security Council and worked for Madeleine Albright at the State Department. I ran for Congress as a Democrat, have voted Democratic all my life, and expect to continue doing so.
But I would never vote for Abdul El-Sayed. In my judgment, he does not represent the values of our party or our nation. I urge my fellow patriotic Democrats in Michigan to leave the Senate line blank or vote for Republican Mike Rogers.
This is an exceptional case, and I do not make this recommendation lightly. We can support Democratic majorities nationally while refusing to support a candidate who violates our core values. Loyalty to our party should strengthen our principles, never require us to abandon them.
Senator Slotkin, I agree. But if you believe the ad is antisemitic then you agree that @AbdulElSayed is antisemitic. The message of the ad has been a core El-Sayed theme throughout his campaign. This is El-Sayed in his own words:
“We’re paying $5 gas. We’re paying more for groceries because of a war we should not be fighting at the behest of whom? The government of Israel.”
OR
“Israel is an affordability issue. Every time you want to put glasses on kids’ faces or give people healthcare or fix a school, somebody pops up and is like, Well, how are you going to pay for that? I don’t know. Maybe we should keep our money here instead of sending it there to drop bombs on people’s schools or their hospitals. That’s our money. You just saw $3.3 billion voted to send abroad to a foreign government that, by the way, has guaranteed healthcare and can guarantee college education without debt. We can’t. And you want to send my money over there? That’s insane.”
I can keep providing examples. There’s so much material as @AbdulElSayed has been hammering this point incessantly.

Believe it or not: The UK's National Health Service (@NHSuk) classified a 44-year-old mother of two, #HollyPassmore, as a “vulnerable adult” because she advocated for Israel. Indeed she supports Israel "to the point that she has travelled to Israel.” Imagine that!
As a result, she received a house visit from two plainclothes police officers wanting to know why she had recently visited Israel.
When Holly Passmore heard a knock at her front door at about 11am on July 4 last year, she assumed it was an Amazon delivery.
Instead, the 44-year-old mother-of-two from County Durham found two plain-clothes police officers on her doorstep wanting to know why she had recently visited Israel ⤵️

There was once a shepherd who found a wolf caught in a snare at the edge of his pasture.
The wolf begged to be freed.
“I was hungry,” it said. “That is all. Spare me, and I will remember your mercy!”
The shepherd cut the rope.
The next night, three lambs were gone.
Again the shepherd found the wolf. Again it pleaded. Again the shepherd convinced himself that mercy was proof of his goodness.
By winter, half the flock was dead.
An old farmer finally asked him, “Why do you keep freeing it?”
The shepherd answered, “Because I refuse to become cruel.”
The farmer looked at the empty field and said, “Then understand what you have done. You were not merciful to the wolf. You were cruel to everything that trusted you to keep them safe.”
That’s the lesson.
Mercy without judgment isn’t virtue. When someone openly intends to destroy what has been entrusted to you, endless forgiveness doesn’t make you righteous. It makes everyone behind you pay for your vanity.
