Today's the day. My last on Beano. Sad to leave such a brilliant title. Having the honour of redesigning the comic in 2016 was a real highlight - but not as much as getting to work on it weekly with the best team ever. Elaine, Gary, Mark, Claire, Michelle & John - Thank You!

Obviously this is all funny but it is disconcertingly weird that the entire thing - the Chinese spying, the publicly riding up nuclear submarine captains and humping notable politics correspondents - has been comparatively low key. This would once have wrecked governments.
