He 100% deserves patience.
The issue for many, is that baldylocks didn't get the same patience. Despite having even bigger squad issues, as well as a player dying in the summer (which is pretty big).
Iraola’s inherited an inbalanced squad, off the back of a difficult season with a few £100m+ players who’ve felt like round pegs in square holes, some long term injuries & big egos. The man deserves patience & a chance to get it right. We can’t always have post-2018 Klopp era - some of you need to get a grip because it’s going to be a journey, starting with backing our manager.

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Former Liverpool manager Arne Slot is currently on a FOOTBALL TRIP across South America!
He attended Boca Juniors vs River Plate while standing in the iconic La Bombonera in Argentina, wearing a retro Maradona shirt. 🇦🇷
A few days later, he was spotted at the Maracanã in Brazil watching Flamengo vs Grêmio, wearing a Zico shirt. 🇧🇷

Truth just sets you free from the need itself.

I find these Slot vs Iraola comparisons funny. Teams stopped pressing us under Slot because we played through them. Teams press us now because we can't build up properly. My point, Slot's problems are not Iraola's problems.

Superstars? You mean Isak who was injured for most of the season? Gakpo who everyone wanted sold? Wirtz who's constantly bashed for not being good enough? Macca, who people claimed he had downed tools for the world cup? Your lack of nuance is showing. Move along now.

Teams were already changing their approach by then. They had already started sitting. Trent was injured for most of that period. It became clear Szoboszlai couldn't play in the pocket against low blocks. The same underlying issues became worse the following season.

Klopp was incredibly stubborn and persisted with a hapless midfield.
Until he did the one thing Slot never did: he changed it.

People don't want Iraola sacked; they are simply pushing back on the obscene narratives they were forced to swallow last year, which got a Premier League-winning manager sacked.
Now, the same ones who pinned everything on one man are talking about an "Imbalanced squad," "Lack of options," and the need to rest players because, without a CF, we would be in big trouble (Remind me who played CF when Hugo tore his Achilles last season)?
All the talking points about why we should be happy fighting for the top 4 were ignored last season, so pardon me if people think you are disingenuous for using them as an excuse for the manager this season.
So you giving Slot a season of tragedy, of aging players, adaptation of new players, dismantling of a team, development of youngsters and injuries to improve and sort things out?
Great empathy !!!
YNWA then, I guess

Slot was given the season and the performances didn’t improve. He lost the players and the fans, Iraola hasn’t had the time and still has most fans and the players on board.

Totally agree, Slot should’ve been given more time, one more season at least. It can take minimum 3 seasons to build a squad. Ours was being dismantled due to aging players.
But Slot couldn’t have 1/ONE/UNO SHIT SEASON to wipe everything out and start afresh
Coaching takes time. Fergie took time, Pep took a season, Klopp took time, Arteta took time, etc. Lot of them came into far worse teams obviously, but even so, manager's don't have a magic wand. You improve with time on the training pitch. Andoni's had a shortened pre-season, 3 games a week, 1 massive international break, and a bunch of new, young players.
Show some patience. Judge us at the end of the season. Our expectations are all over the place because both times we won the league we were perfect for the first half of the year.
If you think time will lead to better performances and results, then hold faith. If you're 100% convinced that time will only lead this team to get worse, then I get why people might be questioning the manager.
The attack has been good in Europe, not great in the league. The defence has been good in the league, not great in Europe.
