No real crazy long explanation here for Burns as he’s had ELITE K metrics this season posting a 33.8% K rate which puts him in the 96th percentile on the year.
Not a great strikeout matchup on the year vs the Nationals. But recently over their last 15 games, they’ve struck out the 12TH MOST in the league.
5/9 batters in the projected Nats lineup are solid K matchups for Burns posting a 20% K rate or higher, but it honestly I think his stuff is way too electric for any major league caliber bat.
Burns had 7 against the Phillies which is a MUCH tougher strikeout matchups, I expect Burns to absolutely deal today.
