No dialogue with an illegitimate, insincere, and coercive government. A government at war with its citizens. A few of my thoughts on DW’s 77 percent. #RutoMustGo Full video: youtu.be/bgENxz88R7M?si=oQDp…

The planned demolition in Kibera worries not just residents but also KPSPs members and communities. They fear losing their community assets. Here's what residents have to say: @SakajaJohnson @edwinsifuna @nairobi_rivers @PamelaOlet_NRC @InteriorKE @MwalimuOrero @JalangoMwenyewe

Early May, unprecedented flooding in Nairobi led the @InteriorKE to order residents of informal settlements to evacuate 30-meter riparian zones within 48 hours. We've seen widespread forced evictions & demolitions, with Kibera awaiting its fate. #SpareCommunityAssets

It is with sadness and a heavy heart, I announce the death of Benna Buluma commonly known as Mama Victor, the Convener of Mothers of victims and survivors Network due to the ongoing floods. She and her family were trapped in their house in Mathare. We have lost a galant soldier who dedicated her life to advocate for police accountability. 3 bodies have been retrieved from the house and 3 are still missing. Calling for solidarity and Comradeship. In solidarity. @happyolal

Dear @SakajaJohnson There is an illegal development by some Chinese developer on Mbaazi Avenue Lavington. Can you help stop them? Multiple letters were written to @NairobiCityCoun and @NemaKenya to no avail. Thanks.

At 582,646km2, Kenya is a relatively big country and ranks 48th worldwide in size. Given the size, some places within Kenya are quite distant from each other. It is a shorter journey from Lokichogio to Bambouti, Central African Republic than to Kwale. Ditto Nairobi-Mandera.

Replying to @SabrinaOhler
@SabrinaOhler The history of #Nairobi sees development of informal settlements along the rivers. While these settlements are not the main polluters of rivers they are most vulnerable to climatic events like flooding & impact of pollution. @KDI_Kenya #RiveNiLife #RiversAndPeople

Public Spaces foster social cohesion, build health & well-being. Temple arts space in Lucky Summer where Mathare & Nairobi Rivers meet is one such space in Eastlands. It is under threat of land grab. #RiseUp4Parks cc: @irunguhoughton @bonifacemwangi @ConstantCap @aaklandscape
