Through @SenatorCash I have observed a personal process familiar to many of us, play out publicly. Women in Australia cannot hold an event for biological women only, we all know this now, these people in the government that should provide clarity for all,talk in riddles and refuse to answer the question even though they know the answer as they are the reason women now have no rights and women can now also mean males.

Saying the draft conversion bill only captures "abuse" and then not defining what "abuse" actually is in law is a license for activist organisations with a grudge, captured public bodies and poorly trained enforcement agencies to wreck families and target parents.

Reynolds looked thoroughly embarrassed as he tried to sell the plan to scrap import tariffs on a list of “everyday essentials”.
When Ferrari asked him which products were included and what the actual savings would be, Reynolds immediately started dampening expectations, sheepishly admitting these were “not huge reductions” before reeling off the list: baked beans, chocolate, gherkins…
That’s as far as he got. Ferrari could not contain himself and burst out laughing. 😭
Nick then pointed out that the Conservatives have called the projected saving of £21 per year “derisory”.
You could see Reynolds was mortified reading it out. Imagine the brief he opened this morning and realised he had to go on air and sell this to the public. 😬
What a farce. Even on the government’s own figures, this works out at roughly 40p a week for the average household. Forty pence a week. You lucky people.
Another pointless gimmick that will have zero material impact on people’s lives.

Unfortunately not, and this is the problem. The average pensioner receives substantially more in pensions, health and other benefits than they contributed in tax/NI during their working lives. (Difficult to calculate but some estimates put the average difference at around £200K). The reasons for this underfunding are 1. the ‘contributions’ were not saved - they have already been spent and 2. the level of contribution was calculated when life expectancy was 65 and people died after short illnesses, rather than spending 20 years or more receiving pensions and increasingly expensive healthcare. The fact that we can’t afford the current pension arrangements is not a moral issue; it’s a mathematical one.

Cass justified the use of puberty blockers for kids enrolled in the PATHWAYS trial.
The example she gave to the House of Lords was an 11-year-old who'd been transitioned by his parents as a toddler.

POLICY CHANGED: County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust has finally changed its staff changing-room policy after a three-year legal battle with the Darlington nurses in which female nurses were harassed and discriminated against for wanting a single-sex place to undress at work.
The Trust’s revised Uniform and Dress Code Policy now states:
“In accordance with UK Supreme Court ruling (2025), staff must use changing spaces according to their biological sex. Alternative unisex changing spaces are provided for staff who choose not to use an alternative facility.”
The change brings the Trust’s written policy into line with the law and the judgment secured by seven nurses at Darlington Memorial Hospital.
