Calling things "psyops" is usually dubious and often schizo-adjaacent. Most large organizations are way too dumb (cumbersome, disorganized, gossipy etc.) to effectively execute "psyops", least of all the major American political parties in their current state.

I've seen a lot of takes that Orbán's defeat means that he was never an authoritarian in the first place.
This is completely wrong — and, in fact, betrays a complete misunderstanding of both Hungarian politics and modern authoritarianism.
Here's why.

Not to get political, but America is very pretty and has a lot of nice folks making cool things, and I think if we had a president who wasn’t actively trying to murder us, we could have a pretty good time

The Democratic Party’s consistent message that reelecting Trump would be the end of democracy in the US is looking to be very correct. People didn’t vote for Democrats because they thought this was histrionics!

Wild that this isn’t a bigger story. ICE is in violation of almost *100* court orders—including denying bond hearings & imprisoning people illegally. If you care about the rule of law, then that should bother you.

The sequel trilogy is so illustrative of boomer radicalism. It desperately wants to continue being the underdog rebelling against the oppressors that they more or less just ignore that they won in the previous movie and larp on.
If the prequel trilogy was about democracy collapsing, and the OT about rebelling against the Empire, what should the final third be about? How to handle power responsibly, of course. But that would require growing up.

The most insane thing about all this, is just that:
-There is no reason to defend this.
It’s not political. You could just say:
“Officer didn’t follow protocol. Doesn’t reflect our values. Will be held accountable”
There is NOTHING to gain from defending this UNLESS you *want* for ICE to have the freedom to kill US citizens for disagreeing with you!
This is preposterous.
First of all, she's not waving the officers through and has no right to do so even if she were. She is waving another car through, before the officers approach her car.
Second, the officers are not randomly searching her, they are approaching her vehicle because she is violating the law: namely, she is obstructing a lawful enforcement operation. You're not allowed to walk up to or drive up to people who are enforcing the law to make it harder for them to do their jobs.
Third, this defense attorney is drawing a meaningless distinction between an ICE officer and a "real police officer." Again, you're not allowed to interrupt a lawful enforcement operation, which is exactly what this woman was doing.
Fourth, the officer didn't discharge his weapon to prevent her from fleeing. When he discharged his weapon, she had pointed the vehicle at him and pressed the gas. He discharged his weapon in self defense, and other angles of the video show the woman *clearly* hit the officer with her car while accelerating.
The gaslighting is off the charts and I'm having none of it. This guy was doing his job. She tried to stop him from doing his job. When he approached her car, she tried to hit him.
A tragedy? Absolutely. But a tragedy that falls on this woman and all of the radicals who teach people that immigration is the one type of law that rioters are allowed to interfere with.

Minnesota has one of the strongest, most carefully regulated systems in the country to allow the sale of hemp products like THC beverages, and the Republican bill that just passed screws all of that up.
We have a lot of MN breweries and distilleries that will be hurt by this.

Valid question.
Hemp is cannabis, but assuming you mean marijuana - it's much less cost efficient to use MJ. I would debate the environmental factor too. Yes, it takes a lot more Hemp to make our drinks. But that Hemp is grown en masse outdoors, where in many dispensary states the only option is very expensive and electric intensive indoor flower as a base.
Additionally, to focus on the beverage aspect - Cantrip is produced at an SQF, FDA certified facility that cost $70M to build. I cant find a marijuana copacker anywhere near that level of quality. Because it makes no sense to spend that kind of capex when you can only service one state with it through distribution channels that dont actually sell cannabis drinks very well (beverage is 1% of dispensary revenue vs 20% of liquor stores.)
So the drinks in marijuana channels are objectively lower quality.

Let me ask you a serious question since you're a THC guy. Why are you using hemp instead of cannabis? Wouldn't it be more cost efficient and environmentalally friendly to use cannabis?

.@RandPaul is right. The hemp industry wants common sense regulations.
Congress should:
- Restrict sales & possession to adults 21 & up
-Require independent 3rd-party lab testing
-Require uniform labeling & manufacturing practices
-Establish child-resistant packaging standards

There is extraneous language in this package that has nothing to do with reopening the government and would harm Kentucky’s hemp farmers and small businesses.
Standing up for Kentucky jobs is part of my job. I just filed an amendment to strike the provision.
