The Brewers are being celebrated like they invented baseball. They are doing things that have become unusual. They have an old school tough manager who players love playing for. They focus on basic easy to understand basic fundamentals. They have a hitting coach that was an overachieving player for skill that played in the big leagues. They hit the ball the other way. They value putting the ball in play. They adjust their approach based on situation and count. They are not addicted to exit velocity and launch angle bullshit. They bunt and steal bases. They do not have selfish superstars that need to be treated like celebrities. The Brewers simply play the game how it was meant to be played.

Here's CBC in one headline. The "Palestinians" were actual terrorists, carrying machine guns to kill civilians with. But you'd never get that from the headline or the cutline. They are just the worst news organization. The worst.

Paying attention to how Canadian news outlets report on Israel is important mainly in that it shows you how willing they are to lie to support a narrative. If this is what they'll do to provide cover for literal Palestinian terrorists what chance do you have?
This is the headline Canadians woke up to from @CBCNews. ⬇️ Not only did CBC attempt to draw sympathy by inaccurately portraying these Palestinians as innocent victims of Israeli aggression, but there was also no mention at all in the headline that this was a Hamas terror attack carried out by Hamouda and Firas Jua’ba, two Hamas-linked terrorists who injured 5 innocent Israelis in their terror attack. After HRC lodged a complaint immediately this morning, CBC updated its headline, which now reads "Israeli soldiers, Palestinian gunmen killed in exchanges" The revised headline still does Canadians a disservice. Describing a terror attack as an “exchange” obscures who initiated the violence: Palestinian terrorists attacked, and Israeli forces responded. Why is @CBCNews leaving that crucial context out of its headline? cbc.ca/news/world/israel-wes…

Here's the thing: Hostile foreign governments try to manipulate both sides of the political spectrum to their own interests. It's just that it's really, really easy on the left.

Every week, Canada yields some news story that seems like it could only exist in a dystopian novel written by William F. Buckley. This week: A university scolding students to be more tolerant of the giant, rapist murderer they're forced to attend classes with.
Years ago, Jeffrey George Ewert raped and killed a young woman and beat a girl into a paralyzed, vegetative state. Now he's trying to pursue the privilege of a legal education at McGill, in proximity to the many young women who attend campus. It should be out of the question. Instead of calling out the hazard, the law students' association accused the university of not providing adequate support to a formerly incarcerated student and asked for a "circle discussion led by an Elder" to help students process "recent events." A student-alumni petition urges that Ewert return to campus. Everyone here seems to be forgetting that a key part of preserving the legitimacy of our justice institutions involves keeping out society's worst criminals (such as rapists and murderers). It's wild reading these decisions, because judges will spend page after page meticulously citing precedent and jurisprudence in order to justify something that is transparently braindead and cruel.

The judge argued that it is “cruel and unusual” punishment to block multiple murderers from applying for early parole. Canada’s judiciary is a joke.
