Earlier today, I met with a Co-Founder of a Miami based AI company making huge strides in the next frontier of AI-human augmentation.
It was a 1-hour in-depth conversation and guys, what is coming is crazy in terms of the job market. The good news is that AI augmentation means that there'll always be a human in the loop, however what that looks like in practice will be vastly different from what is currently obtainable.
At the end of the call, he introduced me to members of his core-team, some of whom are leading AI initiatives at AWS, Google, MIT, and others. The "accomplished..." made me chuckle low-key 😁
In any case, the Forward Deployed Engineer route will keep gaining ground especially in companies looking to deploy AI at scale in a repeatable way.
A lot coming soon but if you're in the AI space currently, ensure that beyond just technical skills, you are building soft skills to go along with it, as a lot of discussions around governance, compliance, and so on, will continue to be an imperative.
Looking forward to continuing this partnership, creating AI opportunities, and of course, RAISING. 😁
When I got laid off from Microsoft, I got into a company in Lagos that felt paying 600k naira a month was doing me a favour. I had to take the offer to keep body and soul together.
Was there for 6 months until I fell out with the MD and started looking out. That was when I started my training outfit but couldn't quite get traction.
Anyway, after leaving this NGO, I spent another 5 months in the wilderness, literally. Ate rejections almost every other day. Was living on the goodwill of friends and relations. Basically wondering what to get out of life.
An Antler rep came knocking at the time and was in the process of fast tracking my application to the Antler cohort at Kenya. Guess what? My passport had expired. Ran to go fast track my passport, after a few days emailed the partner but was told it was too late.
I remember laying in my room laughing hysterically, mulling to myself, "who I offend?"
Thankfully at that time, I applied to Andela and the process started for another 2 months. I got into Andela and my monthly salary was my previous annual salary. This trend continued in a subsequent company. Use am run one or two that year.
But the point is, while I was enjoying this new reality, I asked myself, "why did you worry all those times?" In hindsight, there was no reason to. I should have just chilled for 5 months, enjoyed myself.
But we are human and can only understand life in hindsight. As long as you believe this it will work out for you: EVERYTHING will turn out better than you expected, just stop worrying.

4 students, one other lady k+lled as Niger gov’s convoy allegedly rams into their car
Five people, including four male students and a young woman, have lost their lives in a fatal road crash involving a vehicle in Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s convoy in Minna.
The accident occurred on Monday around Gidan Mangoro along the Minna–Bida Road when a Hilux van travelling with the governor’s convoy collided head-on with a Peugeot 206.
The Peugeot was being driven by a woman identified as Mrs Nafisa, who d+ed at the scene. She was said to be an NGO staff member, Programme Manager at Labspace and founder of Wosh Mart Service Ltd.
According to a resident, Abdullahi Musa, the crash happened at about 11:35am while Governor Bago and his team were returning from Bida, where they had paid a condolence visit to the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, over the death of Sagi Nupe Hajia Aisha.
The occupants of Nafisa’s vehicle were suspected to be postgraduate students of the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
Musa said, “The people in the private car d+ed instantly, while those in the government Hilux sustained serious inj¥ries with the driver dying on the spot.”
He stated that the crash resulted from wrongful overtaking by the convoy vehicle, adding that the Peugeot was on its lane when the Hilux crashed into it.
A staff member of Minna General Hospital said three victims d+ed at the scene, while two others later succumbed to inj¥ries. Some inj¥red victims were reportedly transferred to IBB Specialist Hospital for further treatment.
One occupant of the Hilux, identified as a former Niger State local government council chairman, suffered leg fractures but survived.
FRSC Sector Commander Aishat Sa’adu confirmed the crash, while police spokesperson SP Wasiu Abiodun said the incident was under investigation.
“The accident occured this morning and we are investigating it,” Abiodun said.
Hmm...this is sad.. turns out I also lost a friend too @web3Bard101 ( the guy in the 4th frame) due to this accident, may their souls rest in peace with the Lord 😩...
The loss of four lives in this tragic accident is devastating, and we believe there must be accountability.
The circumstances surrounding this incident must be thoroughly investigated, and ...

Unfortunately death teaches you so much about life than any life experience ever will.
And I've learnt that the craziest thing about loosing someone is not even the fact that you miss them and you'd never get to meet or speak to them again,
It's the fact that death came in the middle of unfinished plans, in the middle of the most random acts under the most usual circumstances, Inconclusive conversations any time, anyday, anywhere.
And then it hits you that it could have been you.
Then you take a broader look at your life and wonder :
If you're ready for death.
If you've lived well.
If you're fulfilled with the life you've lived.
If you want to be remembered by how you've lived your life.
Have you been living for yourself or have you lived for others.
You begin to wonder "what is the meaning of life" "if all these are even worth it"
But it is times like these we remind ourselves that
“IT IS DEATH THAT GIVES LIFE MEANING.”
So I beg you all, LIVE MORE.
LOVE MORE.
GO ALL IN.
REACH OUT TO PEOPLE.
APOLOGIZE WHEN YOU'RE WRONG.
FORGIVE, EVEN WHEN IT'S HARD.
REST WELL. TAKE BREAKS.
PRAY.
TELL PEOPLE HOW MUCH YOU LOVE THEM.
VISIT YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
MAKE MEMORIES.
TAKE THAT CHANCE.
DO THAT THING YOU'VE BEEN PUTTING OFF.
DO IT TODAY.
Because the truth is, we don't have forever, and sometimes we don't even have tomorrow.
Don't get so caught up in surviving that you forget to live.
Farewell, @web3Bard101.
You will be deeply missed. Thank you for blessing me with the privilege of knowing you in this lifetime.
I'm grateful our paths crossed.
Rest well, man. May God grant you eternal rest. 🕊️

I won’t lie, since I started using AI heavily for coding, I’ve noticed I’m forgetting some syntax I used to write without much struggle
And the funny thing is, I don’t necessarily feel like I’m becoming a worse engineer.
I spend less time remembering exactly how to write something and more time thinking about what I’m building, how the pieces should work together, whether the AI-generated code actually makes sense, and what could go wrong.
But take AI away and tell me to write certain things completely from scratch?
Yeah... I’m definitely slower than I used to be 😂
I wonder how common this is among developers who use AI every day.
Forget AI for a second 😂😂. Have you ever been stuck on an engineering decision before? You’ll quickly realize that your AI is only as powerful as your own knowledge.
You think beyond just making it work. scalability, possible outcomes, latency, performance, and all trade-offs
Sitting down to understand someone else’s code and then figuring out how to improve it is a whole different experience.
Forget the AI stuff for a moment. You actually have to understand the code, the logic behind it, and how everything fits B4 you can make meaningful changes.
Someone from Canada reached out to me to build a solution he's trying to pitch to the Canadian government.
An immersive hardware application.
Me: What's your budget sir?
Sir: my budget is 1.2m, but we can revisit it soon.
Diasporan brethren, please what's going on? 😭
For the next 2 weeks, I'll be leading a team working on an AI-powered agriculture project.
The goal is to improve an existing crop disease detection system by adding AI-powered pest detection + RAG-based recommendations.
I've divided our 10-person ML team into 3 teams
1. Dataset & Preprocessing
2. YOLO Model Training
3.Evaluation, Integration & Existing Disease Model
I'll l be sharing our journey here, from dataset preparation and YOLO training to model evaluation, integration, RAG and the final system.....
