No AI. 100% of the blame for this is on my shoulders.

Back in the days where you bought CD burners, there was really only 1 player in the game IIRC - Mitsumi.
Anywho, turned out it was apparently cheaper to just make all of them CD Burners and solder on a small chip that would make some of them only look like a reader.
Read-only was a LOT cheaper to purchase. So, I did. And just de-soldered the little chip and whammo! Read/Write!
So this makes sense in a weird way.
i find this pretty funny
the M4 iPad Pro with 8GB RAM actually shipped with 12GB RAM, which we found out through teardowns, Apple never acknowledged it and still only let you use 8GB RAM
fast forward to 2026, Apple releases a more powerful on device Apple Intelligence model that requires a minimum of 12GB RAM, which won't run on the base model M4 iPad Pro cause it has "8GB RAM", even if the underlying hardware had 12GB RAM
make it make sense Apple
I'm not saying I accidentally wired a switch wrong over the weekend that would have answered this question, but I am not denying it either.
The very first thing I ever purchased with money I made from a legitimate, tax-paying job, was a bottle of Obsession for Men.
It lasted so long, I threw it away with still plenty left.
Which is weird because I'm sure I marinated in the stuff.
AI: "It's roughly a day's work. Most of it is the catalog entries plus the endpoint, deleting the service code, and repointing the UI."
Me: "Define a 'day's work'"

I rarely see the hummingbirds stop to eat. Generally they hover while they sip at the nectar as this is a behavior I've never seen until today.
Sadly we only have one hummingbird ever come to our feeder. I'm jealous of the people that have swarms of them.

I'm having Greek twice-baked potatoes for lunch today. Leftovers from last night.
We use Kara's Greek seasoning and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is the best Greek seasoning I have ever had in my entire life.

The abstraction layer has moved up, and it is still worth reading all those books.
Look at this mailing I got.
I get they're trying to make the dude out to be the villain, but ... he's smiling and looking pleasant while Hilda Von Sourpuss is over here judging me for existing incorrectly.
Now, I'm not exactly thrilled with my options this go around, but if you're telling me I've got to choose from a guy who's happy trying to save the lives of the unborn or being scolded by a grumpy hag for thinking he has a point... well, guess what?
Dear @amazon,
I would absolutely wear this if it were real.
Wife wanted me to get a hoodie for a trip we're taking. Remember, I live in Florida. I do not own long sleeves outside of a few dress shirts.
She says she found some on Amazon.
I was like "PLEASE tell me they are Amazon Basics hoodies and literally have `Amazon Basics` screen printed somewhere!"
Sadly, they did have Amazon Basics hoodies but they were not screen printed as such.
Because I'd have GLADLY worn that $#!+ in public.
