BREAKING: @POTUS just signed an Executive Order to immediately cut diesel costs by temporarily allowing highway use of tax-free dyed diesel and deferring the federal diesel tax on that fuel through the end of the year — no interest, no penalties.

Glad to attend yesterday’s ribbon-cutting for 35 new Nebraska Mesonet weather stations. Better local weather data helps farmers make management decisions and helps USDA and FSA assess accurate conditions when determining assistance.

The Farm Bill has passed out of the @SenateAgGOP and is heading to the floor. Now corn growers are urging passage as soon as possible. Read our statement at bit.ly/4cPIObN

It is disgraceful Democrats refused to advance the bipartisan Farm Bill out of committee. First, Senate Democrats refused to stand up for our service members by not moving the bipartisan NDAA. Now, they’re turning their backs on farmers, ranchers, and rural America. We worked with them to secure bipartisan support for E15 and offered a compromise on SNAP cost share concerns. What did the Democrats do? They voted against every policy they claim to care about: funding food banks, improving rural and mental health services, increasing access to safe drinking water, and expanded broadband connectivity. This is a massive disservice to producers and communities across the country. I certainly hope they wake up and realize the pain this will inflict on American families.

Couldn’t ask for a better send-off from D.C. than meeting Senator Grassley this morning. A true role model. And yes… Nebraska vs. Iowa yields somehow made their way into the conversation. 😂

Had a great meeting with White House staff in the Eisenhower building! Getting to talk policy in the former Secretary of War’s office was an incredible experience. The meeting went really well, and it was a great opportunity to advocate for America's corn producers. 🌽
Nebraska Corn was grateful for the opportunity to meet with @WhiteHouse Office of Public Liaison and discuss how we can work together to benefit Nebraska farmers. #NECorn

Had the opportunity to meet Scott in a small group setting and came away incredibly impressed by his values, leadership, and vision for the future of agriculture. Thanks for stopping by CASNR!
Scott Hutchins, the USDA’s under secretary for research, education and economics, said land-grants such as the University of Nebraska–Lincoln play a “pivotal role” in ag-focused research, producer impact and training of students as the next generation. news.unl.edu/article/land-gr…

One of those rare issues where practical policy and bipartisan support actually meet!
After years of fighting for year-round E15, I am encouraged to see the House finally approve this effort today. Though long overdue, this is a major step toward securing stability and certainty for American producers and consumers – without any government mandates. I commend my fellow Nebraskans, @RepAdrianSmith, @USRepMikeFlood, and @RepDonBacon for their hard work and persistence in getting this bill passed. I also thank @POTUS for his leadership on this issue; I will continue working to get a bill to his desk.

Big day for agriculture at UNL. My partner and I had the honor of drafting the Nebraska Roots: Agriculture Awareness Initiative, and today it officially passed through ASUN Senate. As a 5th-generation Nebraska farmer, it means a lot to help recognize such a great industry! #GBR

Just wrapped up my summer working on the farm! Couldn’t have done it without my brother, Clay—thank you for teaching me so much and being such a strong role model. Now I’m off to UNL to study Ag Business with a Pre-Law focus while continuing to grow my passion for agriculture!
