2 exercises I'd get everyone 40 years and above to do:
1. Weights
2. Walking
3 days a week of weightlifting with progressive overload and at least 7,000 steps a day are enough to live a long, quality life.

“But humans lived until 40 years then!!”
This was NEVER true. Humans have always lived into their 80s and 90s.
Read any book on Ancient Greek society or study hunter gatherer tribes like the Inuit who regularly lived into their 90s.
The “average lifespan” was 40 because many died during childbirth weighing down the average
if you survied childbirth you were basically as likely to live as long today.

My nan lived to 103.
She cooked everything in beef dripping.
Her favourite meal was beef potatoes and peas with gravy.
Meat and 2 veg. Every day.
Bread without synthetic vitamins or seed oils and real butter.
She never counted a calorie, never owned a pair of trainers, and never once asked a doctor what she was allowed to eat.
Meanwhile I spent my 30s eating low-fat yoghurt and margarine, because a man in a suit on the telly said my heart depended on it.
She outlived three doctors who tied to tell her to eat margarine.
I trust the woman who made it to 103 more than the people selling me a “heart healthy” spread.
What did your nan swear by?
