As someone who has been the target of Democrat lawfare that left permanent damage, I could not agree more with what @HansMahncke said in this article. Please give it a read. Back in 2020, Stacey Abrams’ Fair Fight organization and their attorney Marc Elias filed a federal lawsuit against me and some of my friends. They alleged we had committed “voter intimidation” under the Voting Rights Act for lawfully challenging voters under OCGA 21-2-230 who may have become unqualified. Meanwhile, I was fully expecting a subpoena or indictment from Fani Willis—people around me were already being targeted by her and Nathan Wade. Then in late 2022 the Biden DOJ entered the Fair Fight case, and I became convinced that our Obama-appointed judge was going to railroad us and then the DOJ would indict me. A few weeks before the trial the stress got so bad I went into heart failure. For months I couldn’t walk more than a few feet without a walker and used a wheelchair outside the house. I couldn’t even attend our two-week hearing; my doctor wrote a letter and I testified over Zoom. Earlier this year I learned Jack Smith had also obtained a secret subpoena for my phone records from October 2020–January 2021—while the DOJ was also involved in the Fair Fight case. It was all straight up Democrat lawfare from start to finish, and we won that case on January 2, 2024. I’ve since recovered to a large extent, but the damage is permanent. I am a heart-failure patient and, statistically, my life will likely be cut short. This is exactly the kind of damage they want to inflict, and the great irony is that I was the one accused of voter intimidation. As @MZHemingway said years ago, “The process is the punishment.” Intimidating us and taking us off the field is their goal! Senator Slotkin recently said the quiet part out loud in Chicago. And now we learn they’ve compiled records on hundreds of thousands more of us—activists, lawyers, journalists, donors, even people who bought MAGA hats. You may be in those records too. Will you let them intimidate you—or will you stand up and fight these bastards?

How do authoritarian tactics work? The goal is to create so many threats against you, your family, and your staff that you shut up. They wanna manufacture outrage. They all start repeating the same talking points. The goal is to crush your spirit. That fear becomes contagious. We can't let it.

As many of you know, in recent days Data Republican has been releasing transcripts, videos and audio recordings of a group of groups plotting to use violence to force President Trump to take protective actions (i.e., the Insurrection Act) that will result in the overthrow of our Constitution in favor of the will of Democrat governors. These groups include former USAID employees and other ex-national security officials, and the plans they discuss are straight out of the color revolution tactics, techniques and procedures those same people have been using for decades to overthrow foreign governments unfriendly to the USA. This is the biggest news story in decades, right? Yet no one in the mainstream media will touch it. Except to defend it. The plotters behind this effort are obviously alarmed by the recent public uncovering of their conspiracy, so they have done what any reputable Democrat determined to overthrow the electoral choices of the American people would do: run to a friendly press outlet to drop a soft-pedaled puff piece to run top cover for their efforts, and blame Trump. If you read this article, it does not talk about a coup conspiracy. Instead it talks about a bunch of well-meaning, patriotic, anonymous ex-national security officials simply trying to protect America from the evil dictator Trump destroying “our democracy.” This article itself is straight out of the color revolution tactics—it’s propaganda designed to condition a populace to accept illegitimate actions. This man, @mrddmia, who is suggesting I be shot, was in the mix to be President Trump's next Attorney General after he fired Pam Bondi for not prosecuting more of his political opponents. He is now at a MAGA dark money group, mobilizing death threats against me and my staff for sport. This shouldn’t be controversial: if you aid in stealing taxpayer money or directing it to enrich President Trump or his family, then you should be held accountable for that crime. That’s what I said, and I stand by it. And if you use the justice system for frivolous lawsuits used to intimidate and jail your political opponents, you should be held accountable for that via your bar status. No abuse of power and not violating the law? Then we have no problem. We know most Republican politicians are desperate to change the topic from their failing agenda. That’s how this kind of coordinated right-wing media play works. The threats and intimidation — of me, my staff, and my family — *are the point* of this kind of play. This dude and so many others are just hoping that we'll shut up in response. Not going to happen.

That’s his specialty. I think the — the thing that I’ve heard from my own Republican colleagues and peers, including like interns and folks who work around the Hill who come to our events, they’ll tell you, like I, you know, I was worried. My parents were worried. You know, it’s really messy. I’m not sure what to get involved in. Politics in general has become messy. But, you know, when you’re being forced by this administration, for instance, to sign a contract that is given over to a company that Trump Jr. is on the board of, and you know that that’s a problem. Like, my point is, do not get yourself involved in illegal activity. It’s the same thing I was talking about a year ago. Whether you’re the uniformed military or a civilian in government, if you’re being asked to do something by the President or his team that’s illegal, you have a responsibility to reject that. That is my point, and that was the point I was trying to make.”
