Delay is not denial. This is evident in the case of Tabugbo Adaobi, who had been on the 8.0 radar. She finally did it today with a time of 8.06 seconds in Lubbock. Eserogheene Awusa, also performed well, clocking a time of 8.23 seconds in the semis. It can only get better🔥

Any one talking about keeping track under a 3-hour window by cutting field event, lemme give you some perspective. Only one event can be run on a track at a time. Meanwhile multiple field events can be going on at the same time. This was never about time. #isaidwhatisaid

World Athletics update on Tobi Amusan's status. "Please be advised – reports appearing in Nigeria that say Tobi Amusan has been cleared to compete in Budapest are wrong. No decision has been made in this case yet. When a decision is made, it will be announced by the AIU"

These two athletes delivered for 🇳🇬...one flag, two GOLD medals. The field events have produced half of Nigeria's GOLD medals so far at the ongoing African Championships in Mauritius. Sade Olatoye won Gold in the Hammer, while Chioma Onyekwere won the Discus event. #TeamNaija

Three frames for every GOLD medal Chioma Onyekwere has won for Nigeria since her first one in 2018, competing at the African Championships in Asaba. In 2016, @cicionyekwere won Bronze in Durban, and that was the last time she has been beaten anywhere in Africa...consistent.
