What kind of useless gadget is this.

I'm sadly convinced the Lindsay Clancy verdict is taking so long because the three men on the jury are trying to explain to the nine women that hormones don't excuse triple child murder

THIS ROBOT JUST ROUNDHOUSE-KICKED A WATERMELON IN HALF. ONE HIT. CLEAN SPLIT.
Watermelon hanging from the ceiling on a string. The robot drops into stance, loads the hip, and sends a kick straight through it. Two pieces hit the floor.
A roundhouse kick is full hip rotation, weight transfer, and landing without falling. Takes a martial artist years to land clean. This thing learned from data.
Everyone tests robots with boxes and flat floors. This Chinese lab hung a watermelon from the ceiling and let it swing.
China now has over 150 humanoid companies and they're not just building workers anymore. They're building machines that hit harder than the people they're replacing.

Stake It. Don't Expose It.
A staker delegates once & collects rewards to the same address for years - hundreds of payouts, one wallet.
Simple, efficient, exactly how staking is supposed to work.
But every reward payout is another transaction writing that same public key to the chain, again & again.
The longer you stake, the more evidence accumulates inside one place.
On QuanChain, staking rewards land the same way, except the public key behind them is never on-chain to begin with.
Compounding for years doesn't compound your exposure.

Same Day. Same Wallet. Every Time.
A company pays salaries from the same wallet every two weeks using same address, year after year, dozens of employees.
Predictable.
Efficient.
Never rotated.
Every payroll run writes another transaction to that public key.
Years of payroll become years of accumulated evidence.
The company with the longest track record has the most exposure.
On QuanChain payroll runs the same way, on the same schedule - except the public key never touches the chain.
Tenure doesn't cost security.

Open-weight models are essential to a healthy AI ecosystem. Together with others across our industry, we are outlining a path for open-weight models to strengthen American competitiveness and expand economic opportunity, while protecting national security. microsoft.com/en-us/corporat…

🇺🇸 Jensen Huang made his first-ever post on X to share a letter NVIDIA signed: "Open Weights and American AI Leadership."
Restricting open models, it argues, would weaken U.S. leadership rather than improve national security.
25 signatories. Meta, Microsoft, IBM, Palantir, Hugging Face, Mistral, Mozilla, a16z, Y Combinator, the Linux Foundation.
Not on it: OpenAI and Anthropic, the two American labs whose frontier models are closed.
It also asks policymakers not to treat distillation as misappropriation. That's the technique at the centre of every argument about models being copied.
Timing: Moonshot AI released Kimi K3 last week, open weights, claiming frontier performance at a fraction of the cost.
Huang told Axios the same day that fears of backdoors in Chinese models are a misconception, and that wider adoption of any capable model, open or closed, raises demand for NVIDIA chips.
NVIDIA committed $26bn to open-weight models back in March.
Is this a safety argument or a demand argument?

Ann Widdecombe schools a roomful of woke students on the importance of free speech.
"Only two sorts of people oppose free speech... snowflakes and totalitarians."
"Nobody has the right to live their lives being protected from offence, or from insult, or from hurt feelings."
"It is an occupational hazard of living in society. And if you really can't take it, become a hermit."
"No matter how much we may disagree with somebody, we should defend to the hilt their right to say it."
"You succeed by defeating your opponent, not by wishing him away. You get nowhere by trying not to hear what is being said."
"You may feel virtuous today in what you will not hear, but tomorrow somebody may feel virtuous in not hearing what you have to say."
"Free speech is for all, not for the privileged few."

🇫🇷 A GOVERNMENT JUST DECLARED BITCOIN'S ENCRYPTION OBSOLETE
France's cyber agency won't certify any security product without quantum-safe encryption after 2027.
It never mentions crypto. Not once.
But Bitcoin and Ethereum run on the exact algorithm France just rejected.
Elliptic curve cryptography.
The clock on "harvest now, decrypt later" just started ticking louder.

This is how the EU/UK now regulates social media:
🤐 Offer CEOs secret deals to censor dissent.
🚨 If they refuse, open criminal cases against them.
😑 When people push back, say it's "all for the children".
🎭 "Protecting children" has become the standard legal/PR cover.

“Adults can still access social media through age checks like facial recognition, digital IDs, passports and credit cards.”
So there it is - this wasn’t about banning under 16s from social media, this was about giving EVERYONE a digital ID.
RESIST 🚫
🚨 SUMMARY: The UK's social media ban for children from early 2027:
- "User-to-user" apps where people create, share and interact with content (e.g. TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, X, Facebook) will be banned for under-16s
- WhatsApp, Signal and YouTube Kids will be exempt
- Under-16s will also be banned from livestreaming, messaging strangers on gaming apps like Discord and using disappearing messages
- 16 and 17 year olds will face nightly social media curfews and limits on infinite scrolling with more details next month
- AI "romantic companion" chatbots will be banned for under-18s
- Adults can still access social media through age checks like facial recognition, digital IDs, passports and credit cards

Anybody who believes the UKs social media ban is about child safety and not about removing anonymity for adults is either willfully lying or delusional.

"We tried to plan very well for a world of 10x growth per year. Yet we saw 80x."
The room went quiet.
Most people still argue if AI is a bubble. They try a couple of prompts and wait for the hype to die.
The winners stopped arguing and started building. Two-person companies running on AI are already worth a billion dollars.
