If Donald Tusk was really certain that suspending the President of the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland and surrounding the building with police so judges and officers could not attend was "restoring the rule of law", he wouldn't have done it on a Friday evening or while the President of Poland was flying to Senegal.
Przywracanie rządów prawa jest naszym obowiązkiem. Po latach pisowskiego bezprawia to proces trudny, czasem bolesny i wymaga zdecydowanego działania. Innej drogi nie ma.

It would appear the same people who spent the last 5 years telling you J6 was the worst day in American history are much more sanguine about the possibility of forcibly seizing the Supreme Court.

Real people have real emotions. Real people need to stop being f’ed with for your social media pranks and content. Not everyone is living in your fake world. Good on the Red Baron Pizza guy. The world was better when kids had a healthy fear of all adults.

That face you make when you read the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius 195 times and build an entire career off promoting stoic philosophy but still don't know what it means or how to apply it to your own life. This is modern intellectualism in a nutshell. All knowledge, no wisdom. Virtue signalling without virtue.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

I’m not surprised at all this is how essential Men are viewed All those essential Men that keep the world from collapsing are viewed with scorn and hatred by those incapable of building and maintaining civilization I feel numb
What an absolute loser. 50 years old, 4 kids, a mortgage and he works as what, a grocery stocker? Women need to be WAY pickier about who they reproduce with. Maybe he could be chill if he were doing his little grocery stocking job as a single man.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The man in the video is a Red Baron representative stocking frozen pizzas in a grocery store. He stated he has four kids and struggles to pay his mortgage amid long hours; no reports confirm he is 50 years old, and the clip shows him responding to a prank. dexerto.com/entertainment/… gofundme.com/f/support-a-ha… x.com/MrLeadslinger/…

I suspect that threatening to steal his companies and throw him in jail had something to do with it.
Elon Musk is dumping half a billion dollars into Republican races. Why? Because Democrats in Congress won’t be a rubber stamp for Donald Trump and will actually fight to lower costs.

Lots of people forgetting that giant corps essentially shut off the Internet for any customer they felt was insufficiently condemnatory of the Jan 6 riots They hadn't even broken any written rule. They just didn't like them so no Internet for them. Starlink's policy is way more clear and fair.
The reality is this completely devalues Starlink. If one man can arbitrarily shut off your Internet, it's less dependable than your already hit or miss Internet connection.

Back in 2008, 53% of Californians voted for the high speed rail project. Today, after 18 years of absolutely deranged delays and cost overruns, 62% support it. California is broken because Californians like it that way.

Annabel Richter was a 19 year old FIT student. She was fed fentanyl by a man named Moises Friere who told her it was cocaine. Friere knew what he was doing — he gave the drugs to two female students and didn’t take any himself. While Annabel was overdosing, Friere stripped off her clothes, took photos of her naked body, and then raped her instead of calling for help. Because of what he did, she is dead. There are no “I am Jane Doe” rallies for Annabel Richter. There is no daily coverage of her death on CNN. There are no New York Times investigations creating timelines of her last day. Unless you read local crime news in New York City, you will not have heard about this case. Why is Cornell’s Jane Doe of so much more interest to mainstream news than FIT’s Annabel Richter? Perhaps because news loves to create narratives about predatory white male college students and refuses to make national-news villains of men like Friere, who commit most of the actual crime in places like New York City. The NYT and CNN aren’t lying when they do 50 stories about Jane Doe and zero about Annabel Richter. They’re just exercising editorial judgment about which parts of the news you need to hear.
Man who drugged and raped dead NYC college student texted nude pics of her instead of calling 911: feds trib.al/pAEqBDj

I WAS a Trump voter in 2024, don't tell me I don't get Trump voters. 1: Inflation is inseparable from the Iran war, which I did not support 2: Feels like I voted against an out-of-touch old man - and got an out-of-touch old man who steals 3: Republicans are going to get smoked
Replying to @AlexBerenson
Pal you haven’t understood the trump voter since 2016 and still take Nate Silver seriously. Let me help you: It’s Iran. Period. Full stop. Trump’s base is furious and betrayed. Myself included. He told us no dumb foreign wars then did the opposite. It’s Bush 3.0. Fortunately boomer neocons and Bibi are happy though, right? Doesn’t mean we are voting Democrat. Simply means we are not voting. This isn’t hard. Go back to your Ivy League tower taking NYT polling seriously. And guess who is energized to vote?

She took to the streets believing she was marching for the soul of the Republic. A hand-painted sign, a student badge, and the burning certainty that solidarity could heal any fracture. Then the iron shutters gave way. When the plate glass shattered, the chants stopped mattering. She watched people she called comrades storm into storefronts, grabbing sneakers, perfume, and electronics. She stood in the doorway, voice cracking over the sirens: “Arrêtez! This isn’t the cause! This isn’t what we’re here for!” A shove sent her backward onto the pavement. A laugh cut through the smoke: “Shut up. We’ve got urgent shopping to do.” In that single second, a lifetime of ideology collided with cold reality. She wasn’t marching with people fighting for a future. She was acting as human cover for people who just wanted to burn down the present. The sign slipped from her hands into the glass-strewn gutter. Idealism built the march. Opportunism tore it apart. When will we finally see the difference?

More precisely: The transfer of willingness to fight from states to tribes and similar loose group identities. You see it everywhere: Calls for Britain and France to rearm are met with derision and disbelief; meanwhile military-aged males do their thing in the streets. So here.
One thing that connects this ugly attack and the wider violence across Europe today is the erosion of the monopoly of violence. The causes differ, but the effects tend to converge, and it's not really something any state can afford to let slip for very long.
