Trist.

In the 1.300 years of Muslim-Arab slave trade, approximately a million Greek Christians were sold as slaves. Greek girls who were pretty were forced into prostitution after being enslaved to Turks who took all their earnings. Women captives were known to be subjected to sexual abuse. After Chios Massacre (March 30, 1822) where the Muslim Turks slaughtered 42.000 Christian Greeks, 52.000 women and children were sold as slaves in the markets of Smyrna & Constantinople. On September 1, 1821, Samothrace was devastated by the Ottomans through a general massacre, 10.000 men & boys were slaughtered while women & children were sold also in the markets of Constantinople & Smyrna. Only those who converted to Islam survived. On July 14, 1821, 486 Greeks of Cyprus were publicly beheaded because they didn't convert to Islam. On 13-22 September 1922, thousands of women (Greeks and Armenians) were mass raped and slaughtered in Smyrna from the Islamic horde, the Young Turks, who were motivated by racial and religious hatred. Only those who converted to Islam survived. They aimed the Christians of Anatolia and tried to erase our Greek footprint. They failed. On 6-7 of September 1955, during the Constantinople pogroms, Muslim Turks committed rapes againt the Greek community of the City. Hundreds of women expelled and raped. Now there is a minotiry of less than 2.000 Greeks living in the city that their ancestors found, Constantinople. In 1974, the Muslim Turks invaded the island of Cyprus and raped in the name of their god thousands of Greek women from 12 to 71 years old. Even the Church of Cyprus had consented through its tolerance to the amendment of the legislation in 1974, so that the abortions of that period became legal. Women captives were known to be subjected to sexual abuse. Male Muslims were given the right to have sex with female captives (slaves), which was phrased: "those men who guard their genitals, except with their wives and those whom their right hands possess, for then there is no blame" (Quran 23:6), which granted men the right to have sex not only with their wives but also with female captive slaves. Islam is an enemy for every woman. Anyone who willingly supports the Islamic invasion against native Europeans is a traitor to his or her own kind and ancestors. Picture: This is a Greek slave captured by the Muslim Turks during the Ottoman period. The sign writes: "ΡΟΔΟΝ ΕΤΩΝ ΙΗ ΠΩΛΕΙΤΑΙ ΜΝΑΣ Ω" which means: "Rose, eighteen years old for sale, for 800 mnas". People who have never lived through a catastrophe love to ask why America spends billions of dollars building giant nuclear aircraft carriers. Tell them to ask the mothers of Banda Aceh, Indonesia what they saw on the ocean horizon in January 2005. When the Indian Ocean tsunami killed more than two hundred thousand people, the entire coast of Sumatra was erased. Every bridge, road, and water pipe was gone. Tens of thousands of children were dying of thirst in the mud, and no truck on earth could reach them. Two thousand miles away in Hong Kong, the U.S. aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln was on holiday port call. Within hours of the news, young American sailors walked out of restaurants and hotels, left their vacation behind, ran back up the gangway, and pushed the ship's two nuclear reactors to flank speed. When the Abraham Lincoln dropped anchor off the shattered coast of Aceh, it did not launch a single fighter jet. Instead, the American sailors turned their nuclear warship into the largest floating water factory on earth. Using the ship's four massive steam distillation plants, the crew purified nearly 100,000 gallons of fresh drinking water from the sea every single day. For weeks without sleep, young sailors stood on the hangar deck filling five-gallon plastic jugs by hand, while seventeen Seahawk helicopters flew nonstop from sunrise to sunset. They flew more than 1,500 missions into jungle clearings, delivering over 400,000 gallons of pure water and nearly six million pounds of food and medicine to people of a different faith who had been taught for years to fear the United States. America did not ask for one barrel of oil or one dollar in return. When the local hospitals were running again, the giant gray ship quietly raised its anchor and sailed away. A small mind looks at an American aircraft carrier and sees only a weapon. A survivor looks at that flat gray deck and sees five thousand young Americans bringing water from the sea.

America must rediscover it's ability to amend its Constitution and there's no better place to start than with the pardon power. This monarchical vestige has been abused by both parties and now, under the present Administration, has become a humming engine of corruption. – at Brookmont, MD

There is blame all around about the growing product crisis. Yes, conflicts and wars have exacerbated the situation as of late. However, the problem is more deeply rooted. Refining capacity peaked around 1980 at roughly 18.4 b/d of capacity per 1,000 people, collapsed through the mid 80s rationalization. Today sits near 12.8. That is about 30% below the 1980 peak, and the slide has resumed since 2010 as capacity growth stopped keeping pace with population. Per capita refining capacity is a third below where it was in 1980, and the world has not built its way back in 45 years. I will post a deeper dive on this on my substack Renegaderesources.pro

The craziest thing is that France’s riots are backed (dare I say organized?) by La France Insoumise, yet the media keeps obsessing over the “risk of a rightward shift” in French politics. What about the risk of violent leftist lunatics coming to power?

I like reforms that affect both parties. And I like reforms that seek to counterbalance a hyper-strong presidency. Even now I can name pardons made by presidents from both parties where you just go “what the hell!?!”. I bet the pros of doing this would vastly outweigh the cons.
The presidential pardon power is out of control on both sides of the aisle, and I think it should end. There are literally people who are pardon brokers who are being paid $300,000 to get close to Trump and to buy a pardon. Ban the presidential pardon.

I really don't understand what elected officials here, from BOTH parties, believe you are accomplishing with tweets and mean letters on Trump's bizarre actions toward Russia and Ukraine. Our House of Representatives is out of session for two months! Anyone else would be fired for this - and GOP leaders you should be fired. Our Senate is also out of session. You all need to return to work, in person like everyone else does, and DO SOMETHING! You have a veto-proof majority. Go back to work and VOTE!

It’s called Congress. Did you learn that when you served there? When you took an oath to “protect and defend the Constitution”? The missing branch of govt is the Legislative Branch. If this is how others in that branch think, we now know why it’s missing.

I have never seen a market so panicky and irrationally worried about everything as the past 12-18 months in AI From it is so over to we are so fucking back every single month or two
We went from: > Anthropic could wipe out humanity > Astra is AGI > Software is worthless To: > AI isn’t even that useful > Anthropic’s growth is disappointing > OpenAI has zero moat In like a month. Crazy how the human mind works, huh?

…even more than that, the biggest letdown is all the elements in American society that for so long styled themselves as our people’s defenders from authoritarianism (no need to list them all by name) who just *poof* up and disappeared when they liked the flavor of authoritarian.
