The problem IMO is the shift in the Hispanic vote.
Yes, the Admin. aggressive immigration enforcement was one bright spot in terms of his approval.
BUT, when the emphasis shifted to arreseting and removing aliens the in the interior of the country, rather than at the border or just focusing on criminals, it developed a very real dynamic of Hispanic citizens knowing someone removed, knowing the family of someone removed, and/or knowing the friends of someone removed.
This "personalized" the traumatic experience for the legal/citizens of the Hispanic community in ways that border enforcement and removal of criminal aliens did not.
These stories spread like WILDFIRE through the Mexican, Central American, and South American communities.
I say this as someone who supports the aggressive enforcement in the interior of the country. It's the only effective way to deal with what Biden and the Dems did by opening the border.
But at the same time its necessary to recognize the collateral electoral consequences, particularly where there was such a massive and effective messaging operation on the other side filling media with sob stories -- almost ENTIRELY about long-term residents with businesses and families "uprooted" from "productive" lives and shipped back to countries they have been away from for decades.
That is going to resonate in "immigrant" communities where "Everyone knows someone" adversely affected by the policy.
Dumping Noem and Bovino was the right move, but likely came too late to reverse the sentiment.
Trump received mid-40% of the Hispanic vote in 2024. In the midterm GOP candidates were around 33% nationally. In Texas the swing by Hispanics back to Dems was every sharper -- Paxton received only 31%, and in some heavily Hispanic areas he was in the mid-20% range.
And -- as is always the case -- the Admin. was "rewarded" by supporters of his immigration policy. Voters gripe -- many that supported his aggressive immigration policies found reasons to vote against him on other issues like cost of gas and groceries.
Wiles had plenty of data showing it happening in Florida, and it wasn't hard to extrapolate that to other states where Hispanic citizens are a key demographic to winning statewide.

If Rubio resigns it’s because he’ll be running for 2028 by March.
His Cuban heritage and aggressive foreign policy in the Western Hemisphere makes him an avowed anti/socialist/communist.
The DSA is ascendant.
Rubio is a “Happy Warrior” in the environment.
His first mission will be to reconnect the GOP to all the various Spanish-speaking components of the Hispanic community.
Interesting
The governor-elect of Texas, Gina Hinojosa, has explicitly said that all currently permitted datacenters in Texas will be allowed to finish construction. This essentially covers all of the 2027 and likely well into 2028.
She is going to pass laws that ensure that all *newly* permitted datacenters going forward for delivery in 2028/2029 will pay taxes, commit to no increase in power prices for consumers, don’t impact water availability for people, be constructed with union labor and give “Texans a seat at the table.”
Sounds reasonable. She doesn’t want to lose a lot of good blue collar jobs and property taxes for small towns in rural Texas.
Datacenter commentary starts at 6:30 in this interview.
Also attaching her official campaign position from her website in the next post.
Sidenote: After watching a bunch of her speeches and interviews, I do think she is a political talent and probably has a future in national politics.

On judicial nominations, massive Democrat takeover of Senate means:
1. Trump will not be able to appoint any justices or judges during his last two years in office (absent one-sided deal in favor of Dems).
2. If a Republican is elected president in 2028, that president will not be able to appoint any justices or judges until Republicans regain the Senate. Given the deep hole, that might not happen until 2033.
3. I'd be extremely surprised if any justice announces resignation now (for end of term) in hope of lame-duck confirmation of successor. Among other things, it's highly doubtful that Rs would have the vote to confirm. If Sherrod Brown wins Ohio seat, he gets sworn into Senate in early December, so Senate becomes 52R-48D. Collins and Murkowski would be unlikely to support anyone Trump would nominate. John Cornyn, Thom Tillis, and Bill Cassidy aren’t going to be eager to do Trump any favors. And there are other senators—e.g., John Curtis of Utah—who would be leery of anyone Trump would be eager to push through.

Hooboy
The thing is, the Democrats will never learn. If they just sat back and agreed to let Trump put his name on the Kennedy Center or build his arch, he would sign nationalized healthcare and a green New Deal in a single bill. They should even just let him pick the name of the bill.
Instead, they're going to go out there and try to run on jailing him and Elon Musk or some shit.

If big leads hold, Republican majority on Texas Supreme Court goes from 9-0 to 5-4.
15th appeals court - opened in 2024 for appeals involving the state and business court - will go from all-GOP to all-Democrat.

More evidence for the upcoming criminal prosecutions
🚨 UNBELIEVABLE! 👇
Alaska voters got mailers Friday that left out the incumbent Dan Sullivan and only included the imposter Decoy Dan Sullivan.
Marc Elias and every corrupt Democrat behind this operation need to be prosecuted and locked up.
The lengths they’ll go to cheat and deceive voters are absolutely sickening.
