To be fair, it’s not @GovBillLee’s proposal. It’s ours. Lee proposed nothing today that hasn’t already been introduced by @TNDemocrats. Lee just caught wind that we and our GOP counterparts were working through the issue, and he’s trying to get out front on it. Typical. – at Nashville, TN
.@JRClemmons is admittedly not much of a Gov. Bill Lee fan, but he does support his proposed Mental Health Protection Order, also known as a red flag law.
Members of Lee’s own party may need more convincing.

The Sandy Hook shooting happened when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, and I remember sobbing so hard knowing that I was bringing a child into a world like this. 10 years later 3 children shot to death at their school just a couple miles from her.
