pro tip: when you can't tell if someone is flirting with you try to figure out from first principles whether they're the kind of person who'd be into you

people talk a lot about autistic "masking" but I feel like the more important strategy is "avoiding" you can avoid revealing so many deficiencies if you limit your social interactions to like a single back and forth, or a single person, or a single topic

probably true
the healthiest relationships exist between two people who connect deeply on an emotional level and don鈥檛 try to control either. that means you should not 1) pick at people you date (if you鈥檙e not ok with their mannerisms, habits, friends, appearance etc you鈥檙e the problem)

Most gender posting I see online seems to center on concepts that work well within high-narcissism relationships (relationships where authenticity is suppressed & ego validation is prioritized at the cost of genuine connection). I think this is why there鈥檚 so much of the weird/gamified sexual strategy posting and so little of the stuff about what makes actual connection work. Actual connection is pretty simple. You show up and delight in another person showing up. There鈥檚 work, but it鈥檚 more in the realm of clearing out ongoing space for authenticity & grace. Playing (and winning) weird ego games or fixating on schematic understandings about the opposite sex won鈥檛 get you to real connection. It鈥檒l help you win the game of securing narcissistic supply. And if you don鈥檛 know the difference that might feel like love. But the real stuff is a whole different ballgame. No amount of strategizing about how to best disconnect from yourself or manipulate another person to disconnect from themselves will get you there because love requires a mutual, ongoing connection to self. To each person鈥檚 spontaneous and honest desires. To ongoing autonomy, and differentiation. Mutually maintaining these things is where the real work of love begins (and continues on & on).

ok at 30 years old i should figure this out girlies what's a good way to deal with your hair being frizzy and puffy for 1 to 3 days after you wash it?? especially for the executively challenged

ok i've reached a good compromise i think. wavy hair shampoo and conditioner seems to do a good enough job (hair is not frizzy after washing, but also not so much product buildup that i feel the need to wash it again a couple of days later)
