Hi @amazon you honestly put the same people doing your layoffs also in charge of organizing the immigration backfill? You didn't wanna separate those two teams for plausible deniability? Wow that was dumb.
UPDATE: This gets better. On August 31, Washington received Amazon’s WARN notice for another 121 layoffs. Then on September 1, literally the next day, Amazon posted new jobs in INDIA for the Amazonian eXperience and Technology Departures Team. In other words, the same Departures organization whose director is signing American layoff notices is actively adding headcount in India. Including people who will work on Appeals for departing Amazon employees. Amazon’s own job posting explains the role: “Our organization delivers best-in-class service to Amazon employees and alumni throughout their Appeals journey. As a member of the HR organization, you will handle confidential and sensitive information, as well as demonstrate strong integrity and ethical behaviors.” You really cannot make this up. August 31: Vani’s name goes on a government notice documenting another round of American job losses. September 1: Amazon starts advertising more jobs in India for the Departures organization she leads. An Immigrant from India signs the WARN notice. America loses the jobs. India gets jobs. And when an employee wants to appeal what happened, an Indian, in India handles the appeal - but they’ll do it while ‘demonstrating integrity and strong ethical behaviors.’ “Earth’s Best Employer” 🤡

Hey @ShinghiD , are importers from china going to be like drug dealers ? The tariffs are so high, that it’s worth taking the risk that the goods will be confiscated ? Just a cost of business ? Just ship to Amazon FBA and sell under your account that has absolutely no American nexus. You will be far cheaper than anyone else making here or there , because you under reported valuation and far under paid your tariffs And they can’t arrest you or fine you because you are somewhere in BF China. Worst they can do is confiscate your goods. Like they do to drug mules Did I get this right @ShinghiD or am I missing something ? Meanwhile all the American sellers of goods imported from China are getting fucked. Their shit is already on a boat coming here and they have to decide what they are going to do , tell their customers , tell their inventory financier , tell their employees, tell their landlord etc etc. Orif it’s not , they are in no mans land waiting to see what happens Meanwhile , Amazon could help by requiring USA credentials and banks for foreign importers which would give the Feds something more than the goods to confiscate @ShinghiD or any one dealing with this , please correct anything I got wrong
This is incorrect. U.S. businesses, domestic importers, are paying 100% of the new tariffs. If they do not, they go to jail. Undocumented Chinese/Foreign Businesses (non-resident importers) are NOT paying the full tariffs but are instead undervaluing their goods to pay less tariffs than their U.S. competitors. If they get caught, they might lose their goods but nothing happens to them because they don't exist in the U.S. These tariffs are hurting U.S. importers more than Chinese importers! They only work if we have a level playing field and we do not!!! We need higher tariffs for non-resident importers because of this fraud! We need serious reform from @CBP @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @jamiesongreer @ustrade @howardlutnick @SecScottBessent @mcuban

The # 1 selling product on Amazon under "Sports Nutrition Endurance & Energy Supplements" is completely fake. It's a "creatine gummy" with no creatine and is sold by a company based in Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 We had this product tested for creatine potency by a leading lab in the world. The results showed "<150mg" per serving vs. label claims of 625mg. There was also no creatine degradation -- meaning the manufacturer didn't even attempt to put creatine in this product. We submitted these results to Amazon. It turns out, we were not alone in our suspicion. We learned that another leading brand in the space also tested these gummies and had similar results: no creatine. This other brand reported their concerns to Amazon as well, the listing went down for a couple of days, but now is completely back and available on Amazon. This brand has sold tens of thousands of units to unsuspecting American customers in recent months and is operated by a business based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. That uhh doesn't seem right to me.

Undocumented Chinese Sellers on Amazon and other marketplaces make up 50%+ of Sellers in the US - but they are not subject to U.S. taxes and registration. Here's a thread on why it's this way and the massive downstream impact to U.S. businesses: 🧵👇

🚨 URGENT: Amazon, This Cannot Continue 🚨 I am the owner and operator of BTW Global, LLC (TB Superstore, Merchant ID: A3VQS8HNHDVD50), a $30M/year Inc. 5000 company, is being unjustly punished by Amazon with an account deactivation based on false copyright infringement claims. We’ve submitted all required documentation directly from our suppliers—National Book Network (NBN), Hachette Book Group, Simon & Schuster, and Independent Publishers Group (IPG)—proving the authenticity of our products. These are the rights holders themselves, and they’re ready to confirm our invoices. Even more concerning, all ASINs flagged in the original takedown have been retracted (or are being retracted) by the publishers, citing errors on their part. Despite this, Amazon has failed to act. This inaction has forced us to: - Furlough 80% of our staff, spanning three countries. - Suffer $2,000,000 in losses, with devastating impacts on our business and employees. BTW Global, LLC has been a trusted partner of Amazon for 11 years, operating with integrity and full compliance with your policies. Yet, we are being sidelined during the most critical sales period of the year, jeopardizing the livelihoods of our team and our company’s future. Amazon, this is not acceptable. We demand that our account be reinstated immediately. Your actions—or lack thereof—directly contradict your commitment to being “customer-obsessed.” Our employees and their families, as well as our loyal customers, deserve better. This is a matter of survival for a small business that has worked tirelessly to contribute to your platform. We urge @Amazon leadership to step in and resolve this NOW. @dharmeshmehta @ajassy @amznsellerhelp @AmznChris @Molson_Hart @michaelpatron0

Amazon implemented a safe way to use other addys? A huge fear of mine when doing OA was my invoices being denied because the address on the invoice didn't match the address on my selling account This is an issue because when ordering from a site that cancels a lot, using family and friends addresses is sometimes the only way to get more units through Thankfully, Amazon recently added a new shipping setting named "Locations" sellercentral.amazon.com/fbm… Here you can add all the other addresses you order too and don't have to be worried about the invoices not being accepted I've already used it to beat an IP where my invoices had 3 different addys so I can confirm it definitely helps out Hope this helps some people out! 😁

This isn't acceptable from a multi-national company with a $2 Trillion market cap. The inability of Amazon to have real conversations or communicate to it's "selling partners" is inexcusable. This is happening to multiple, long term, multi-million dollar a year sellers that support local jobs, local businesses, and most importantly support their own families. The lack of transparency and the seeming ineptitude of inter-departmental communication makes it difficult for sellers to trust a platform that has grown on the backs of small and medium sized businesses across America. This needs to be fixed before another platform takes the long tail from Amazon and, eventually, the traffic that it produces. This likely could be largely remedied by forming a "Seller Partner Board of Advisors" across multiple disciplines in the Amazon space. Retail arbitrage, online arbitrage, wholesale, and private label. To help Amazon better communicate with the sellers on the platform while also being able to directly hear, at a high level, what concerns the community has. There are hundreds of smart and capable sellers that would be helpful in a role like this to Amazon and would likely ensure a mutually profitable relationship well into the future if concerns are taken seriously and lines of direct communication are available. @dharmeshmehta @ajassy @BusinessInsider @verge @WSJ @TuckerCarlson

@amznsellerhelp - 10 year seller in good standing here with a 1000 health score. Last Wed. we lost over 60 brands which comprise 80% of our active inventory. We were suddenly shut out of them all with no emails or warning. We had 4 inauthentics and 2 IP complaints that we were actively engaged with SESU in clearing. When we called Amazon to get guidance we were told 'Our account metrics are not good enough to be able to continue selling these brands. Maybe you could make sense of it?

Here's how to check your entire ASIN catalog with Keepa to see which ASIN's have their brand set to Generic. I did this on my account with 4,000 ASIN's and deleted all of them in order to prevent any section 3 Amazon notices.
