A book priced at 1445 (only) has been sold by a Chennai publication to TN govt's new 300crore library named after EVR. This AAI (Amazing AI) book's back cover shockingly calls Naaladiyaar as a poet and philosopher!
Naaladiyaar means a work of four lined verses. Perhaps this AAI thought it meant a person with height of four feet. It is authored by one Surya. That this stupidity survived scrutiny of so many intermediaries is shocking.
This is sheer disrespect to Sangam Tamil literature and must not be treated as yet another corruption case. I repeat, this is nothing short of an insult to Tamil.
There are authors who give their blood, sweat and tears to bring out legitimate books that earns them mere peanuts in royalty. CM Vijay must act swiftly and send out a message that his government has ZERO tolerance towards corruption in this most critical area of books.
Now I understand why Ds go gaga over books and fancy, high-end libraries!

இந்தப் போலி நூல்கள், அனைத்து நூலகங்களில் இருந்தும் உடனடியாகத் திரும்பப் பெறப்பட்டு வீதியில் கொட்டி எரிக்கப்பட வேண்டும். மோசடி செய்த பதிப்பகங்கள் சீல் வைக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என தமிழ்நாடு அரசைக் கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்.
இந்த மோசடியை அம்பலப்படுத்தியதற்காக எழுத்தாளர் பெருமாள் முருகனுக்கு நாம் நன்றிக்கடன் பட்டிருக்கிறோம்.

NEW: Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has released security camera footage from the shooting at CitiBank campus.
Jacob Pearson, 35, threatened to bring a rifle to the campus, and CitiBank alerted the HCSO around noon.
At 1211 PM, Pearson opened fire and killed a 41-year-old Leanne Selman.
Citibank's Vice President and Intelligence Lead Analyst John Fraley, 38, confronted and then shot Pearson, who later died at the hospital.
Sheriff Chad Chronister stated, "With more than 3,200 people on that campus, there is no doubt that these quick and courageous actions saved lives. We are deeply grateful to the entire Citibank security team for their training, their preparedness, and their bravery under unimaginable pressure."
