I started using Twitter to help trend Toonami shows. Might want to mute me on Saturdays. Currently write for Sonic Stadium, working on a comic. He/him

The stars have truly aligned for the Dems to win the Senate in every single way: - Roy Cooper and Jon Ossoff lock up NC and GA - Sherrod Brown decides to mount a comeback in OH even though it's a two year term - Mary Peltola runs in AK, passing up a guaranteed governor win - The GOP nominates Ken Paxton in TX and the Dems nominate a S tier candidate with James Talarico making it competitive - The same thing plays out in KS with Roger Marshall and Adam Hamilton - and also in SC with Darline Graham and Annie Andrews! - And in MI and IA, the GOP imploding in the governors races in those states has locked up MI for Abdul and has given Turek a great shot in IA - Dem aligned independents in NE, MT, SD, and ID stretch the field (with Dan Osborn having a great shot in NE) - But wait, it's not all bad for the GOP, the Dems nominated a scandal-ridden dumpsterfire of a candidate in ME: hold on, you're telling me they got him to drop out with nothing to gain? You simply couldn't imagine this in 2024 even if you tried to write a Dem wishcast fanfiction

By this time in 2024, Republicans had a 4% turnout lead; which was translating to an 12% lead in votes cast. Same time in 2026, Democrats have an 8% turnout lead, leaving the GOP with just a 1% vote cast lead Republicans are not showing up right now.... #flapol

Happy to say I helped contribute to keeping the GOP margin down today lol
Another mediocre day for Republicans in FL. They netted just 22k votes again and and are now ahead by just 1% or 34k votes statewide Democrats have hit 33% turnout, Republicans are still on 25%. Could they all really be waiting for election day? I guess we'll see

Your perspective on Cuba and the embargo really does change a lot when you learn that the US embargo isn't why Cuba doesn't have, like, new cars. It's instead because the government itself wasn't allowing its citizens to buy cars for more than half-a-century, forcing them to rely on pre-owned cars on the island. And this is the case with nearly all of Cuba's problems: they are self-inflicted, caused by an authoritarian government that's just really bad at doing the economy. The US embargo did some damage, but even the recent fuel blockade earlier this year was just taking advantage of pre-existing problems Cuba was dealing with because their government is incompetent.
The suffering of Cuba is due to you and your country illegally embargoing them for 60 years. Why don't you stop doing that?

So like, are ya'll gonna agree to allow Palestinians to form a state in the West Bank and Gaza or nah?
Are you listening to yourself right now? What country on Earth would allow non-citizens in neighboring territories to vote?

This is what happens when people cook their brains on nihilism and antisemitism. There is NO country in the world that allows non-citizens to vote in elections. According to Emma Vigeland, there isn't a single "democracy" on the entire planet. Meanwhile, Arabs living under Palestinian Authority rule in West Bank have been denied the promised elections for almost 22 years. Mahmoud Abbas is a de facto dictator. Does Emma Vigeland criticize this explicit denial of "democracy" by Abbas and the PA to the very same Arabs who are not Israeli citizens and she claims should still vote in Isreali elections? Of course not, because she'd rather engage in Goebbels-level rhetoric and propaganda in attacking Israel.
Israeli "democracy": - 500,000 West Bank settlers can vote, but not the 3M Palestinians under occupation - 230,000 Israelis in occupied East Jerusalem can vote, but not the 350,000 Palestinians under their rule - The fewer than 2M Palestinians left in occupied Gaza cannot vote

The West Bank settlers are Israeli citizens. The Palestinians are not. They have their own governments, one of which just delayed its promised election indefinitely, and the other which is a brutal Islamist authoritarian regime that killed the opposition after a single election. The issue Palestinians face is not the lack of Israeli citizenship, it's being kept in a state of perpetual statelessness.

As I stated yesterday Republicans want to be doing significantly better than R+3 EV. They have 3 days left to run up the numbers as the weekend will likely either break even or have dems gain in margin. We're at the point where you wanna see like R+30 IPEV tomorrow if youre GOP
Republicans reached their peak for the day as over the next 2 and a half hours dems will gain some slight amount of margin back. They're tracking towards a similar net margin of ~20k votes gained as yesterday, maybe slightly higher. This tracks towards an R+3 final EV electorate

Here is good news from these Israeli exit polls: In almost no scenario -- minority Eizenkot government, unity government with Likud (possible, but still unlikely in my eyes if Bibi leads Likud) -- will Ben Gvir and Smotrich continue to have the influence they currently enjoy. Likely out of the cabinet altogether, which is clearly the preference of the majority of the Israeli electorate. Ensuring that is the case is an important incentive to the opposition bloc to avoid going to new elections, which would extend the damaging tenure of these extremist ministers.

Quick thoughts about the exit polls: 1) I can鈥檛 believe Channel 14 is still at it. Guys, it鈥檚 over. Are you also going to publish your own vote count? 2) Eisenkot bloc + Ra鈥檃m has no 61 in any exit poll. 3) Minority coalition is a possibility according to every poll except Filber. This was always going to be the case; Bibi鈥檚 bloc was never going to get 61. 3a) It looks like the Joint List has more mandates than Lieberman. That means he can鈥檛 veto a minority government even if he wants to. Question if anyone else will; unclear. 4) Likud + Yashar + Haredi parties have 61 mandates in most polls. Unfortunately. One-two mandates here or there could make all the difference about what鈥檚 possible. It鈥檚 either a clear defeat for the right bloc or a hung Knesset. By tomorrow, we鈥檒l know.

At most, the opposition and Arab parties can form a government just to get Likud and Bibi out of power, but it probably doesn't last a full term and it gives Netanyahu and the far right a chance to come back. This is what led to Bibi eventually returning to power last time.
