The Arbitrary Suspension of the Official Instagram Account of SFI Andhra Pradesh State Committee is Indicating a Troubling Pattern of Silencing the Voices of Students and Youngsters.
The Central Executive Committee of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) strongly condemns the arbitrary and undemocratic suspension of the official Instagram account of SFI Andhra Pradesh State Committee by Meta Platforms. This act of digital censorship silences the voices of thousands of students across Andhra Pradesh who rely on the platform to access information about educational rights, student struggles, and campus issues. The suspension is a direct assault on the freedom of expression and the right to organize, guaranteed under the Constitution of India.
The suspension mirrors a troubling pattern of targeting student organizations. In a similar instance, Instagram permanently disabled the official account of SFI Delhi (@sfidelhi) during the course of the victoriuos protest against the NEET question paper leak demanding the resignation of the then union education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan. When SFI challenged this, Instagram rejected the appeal within two days, and Meta’s Grievance Officer failed to provide a substantive response, offering only generic reporting links. The appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC) remained “under process” for over six weeks, forcing SFI to approach the Delhi High Court, which then directed the GAC to decide the appeal within three weeks.
The SFI views the suspension of its account as part of the same disturbing trend of opaque, automated content moderation that disproportionately targets progressive and student-youth voices. Along with case of SFI Delhi, the official account of many other committees and leaders faced similar suspensions and restrictions from meta. This has accelerated during and after the protest against NEET question paper leak. SFI will not be silenced by this. The struggle for educational rights and social justice will continue, both on the streets and on digital platforms.
The SFI demands the immediate restoration of the official Instagram account of the SFI Andhra Pradesh State Committee. The Instagram and Meta must provide clear, transparent explanation for the suspension, specifying the exact policy violation and the evidence relied upon instead of vague comments. Also, Meta must review its content moderation policies to prevent the weaponization of tools against student-youth organizations and political dissent. The platform must uphold the principles of free expression and due process.

SHOCKING VISUALS OF MSF AND MUSLIM YOUTH LEAGUE ACTIVISTS BRUTALLY ATTACKING SFI LEADERS.
The attack took place at DMS Hospital, Chelari, while the SFI leaders were visiting students injured in the earlier attacks by UDSF activists.
What makes this even more shocking is that the assault was carried out inside the hospital casualty ward, creating an atmosphere of terror in front of patients and doctors. They carried out the attack with the arrogance that comes from being in power.
The seriously injured SFI leaders, State Joint Secretary N. Aadil and Malappuram District President M. Sujin, were admitted to Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode.

AIKS Suspends “Vehicle Long March” After Government Assurances on Farmers’ and Workers’ Demands
The AIKS-led “Vehicle Long March” from Akole to Mumbai, launched on 26 October, was suspended at Shahapur late on 27 October following over two hours of talks with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other ministers. Over 12,000 peasants and 1,000 vehicles from 20 districts of Maharashtra had taken part in the march.
The state government gave concrete assurances on several demands, including drought relief beyond NDRF norms, early release of the two pending instalments under the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi scheme, and the necessary legislative measures and issuance of government resolutions for vesting forest land, varkas land, grazing land (gayran), temple trust land and house site land in the names of the cultivators. The government also assured the formation of a study group, including representatives of the Kisan Sabha, to examine government procurement of bal hirda (a forest produce), and a positive decision on restoring benefits under the Ladli Behna scheme for 9.2 million eligible women who had been denied them due to incomplete KYC formalities and other unspecified reasons.
Assurances were also given on restarting the Mediclaim scheme for construction workers, implementing the honorarium hike for mid-day meal workers, clearing pending payments to PESA mobilisers, and addressing the demands of ASHA and Anganwadi workers and other working people. A follow-up meeting with ministers will be held on 4 November to review the implementation of the accepted demands.
Both Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, and four other ministers Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Girish Mahajan and Dattatray Bharne, attended the meeting along with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The AIKS delegation included National President Ashok Dhawale, National Joint Secretary Ajit Nawale, State President Yashwant Zade, State Secretary Umesh Deshmukh, State Vice President Vinod Nikole, MLA, former State President J P Gavit, and other senior leaders.
The AIKS announced that it will continue the struggle to ensure that every assurance is translated into action and that the remaining demands of farmers, workers, women and Adivasis are met.

Massive AIKS Peasant Rally on Second Day Marches on Foot down Kasara Ghat, Delegation Proceeds for Talks with CM
The massive AIKS-led rally of over 12,000 peasants and 1,000 vehicles from 20 districts of Maharashtra descended Kasara Ghat on foot on the way towards Mumbai, on the second day of the "Vehicle Long March" from Akole to Mumbai. AIKS President Ashok Dhawale, General Secretary Vijoo Krishnan, Joint Secretary Ajit Nawale, State President Yashwant Zade, State Secretary Umesh Deshmukh, State Vice President Vinod Nikole, MLA, and others are leading the rally. The Vehicle Long March has now halted at Shahapur in Thane district.
The AIKS state delegation is on its way to the Government's Sahyadri Guest House at Malabar Hill in Mumbai at the CM's invitation, to compel the state government to address the pressing demands of farmers, including adequate relief for drought-hit farmers, immediate payment of crop insurance compensation, ₹2 lakh loan waiver for farmers who have regularly repaid their loans, land titles for those cultivating forest, pasture, temple trust, and homestead land, fair wages and social security for rural workers and scheme workers, and the resumption of financial assistance to Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana and Ladli Behna beneficiaries.
