Found out the cute barista’s shift ends at 9 and showed up with flowers to surprise her. After her eyes did a thing I’d only ever seen on deer, I watched as she backed across the parking lot with keys clenched between the knuckles of her shaking fist. Ball is in her court now.

BlueChip. Built in America. America made the first electronic computer to win a war. Now we depend on our greatest adversaries to build the computers that run our economy and defend our nation. Today, we bring it home.

The tech world needs to abandon “founder” as a meaningful credential. It has been completely hijacked by Indians and serves nobody now. So many “founders” just program a little outside of work and pray for venture funding. That is not founding anything. It has no meaning.

Except this isn’t an excuse for fraud and misrepresentation on 3 separate occasions, especially when a 30-second google search could tell you that entering on a B2 tourist visa with the intent to adjust status is fraud. He fully deserves the consequences of his actions. Otherwise, why would legal consular applicants accept to wait 1 year in the very best of circumstances and up to 3 years to go through the process? Why was my engagement, wedding, and honeymoon completely ruined because I followed the legal consular process if there are no consequences for breaking the law? Deport him, and make him go through the I-601 waiver process (4 years) and then the legal consular process for Form I-130 in Ghana (3 years). B2 to AOS queue jumpers deserve no sympathy and no exceptions from the law.

"It should not be this difficult, costly, time consuming, and confusing to be a legalized immigrant." You're right. It should be 1,000,000 times HARDER. America, as we see it right now, has about 4% of the world's population. If the remaining 8 BILLION people on the planet are supposed to have an EASY, CHEAP, TIME EFFICIENT, SIMPLE means to escape the poverty THEY HAVE CREATED FOR THEMSELVES by INVADING AND SAVAGING THE WEALTH OUR OWN LABOR HAS CREATED, what is to happen to Ourselves and Our Posterity?
It should not be this difficult, costly, time consuming, and confusing to be a legalized immigrant. The situation with Sey will hopefully cause some people to rethink the process. It’s why so many are not legally documented.

Awesome digging by @RHPalmerston3. If these findings are confirmed by the @DHSgov, this means that my gut instinct was right all along based on my 2 years looking at fiancé and spousal visa applicant groups. In fact, my theory was more charitable to Samuel Sey than what these findings present. It means that Samuel Sey never obtained Canadian citizenship (which is shockingly easy to obtain) and was in Canada on a temporary visa or had permanent residency in Canada because he had to go to a US consulate to obtain a tourist visa (B2 category). This means that he likely committed fraud and misrepresentation on his visa application (Form DS-160), during his visa interview with a State Department consular officer, and to the CBP officer processing him at a port of entry. He also lied to his now-wife's Congressman. If these findings are true, this means that he will need to apply for an IR1 consular spousal visa (Form I-130) with an approved waiver of inadmissibility (Form I-601). For an applicant from Ghana, he is facing a 7-year process. He cannot claim that he didn't know that what he was doing was illegal. A quick web search would tell you that in about 30 seconds. Not wanting to wait 2 years like the rest of us will lead him to get deported by @ICEgov and wait 7 years in Ghana if his visa gets approved on time. If these findings are true, this means that justice was served and that there are consequences for jumping the queue and not wanting to follow the process.
I’m pretty sure I know exactly why Samuel Sey is having immigration trouble. In my view, several things in the public record suggest that he may have entered the United States on a non-immigrant visa, despite having had a clear intent to marry. If that was not disclosed when obtaining his non-immigrant visa, that would be a serious problem under current regulations. Consider the recent statement from his family:
“My husband Samuel Sey entered the United States legally and has been working ever since in good faith with a lawyer to obtain permanent legal status. Our family is trying to understand what went wrong in the process. In the spirit of Romans 13, our family fully supports and respects American law and are prayerfully working to get him home through the legal process.” What immediately stands out about this statement is what it doesn’t say. In particular, it tells us nothing about why it would take four years of working with a lawyer to obtain that status. Legal Entry*: Initially it was not clear whether or not Sey is (or was) a Canadian citizen, so the mechanism by which he entered the United States was not clear. However, I found a February 14, 2022 interview that he did with Allie Beth Stuckey which makes it clear that he had to obtain a visa to enter the United States (as opposed to entering visa-free as Canadian citizens do): podscripts.co/podcasts/relat… There are three very significant things in that interview: Sey indicates that he entered the United States in the weeks before the February 14, 2022 interview, with the following exchange taking place: “And so speaking of hurdles, let's talk about some of the hurdles, Samuel, that you had to jump over in order to get to Annie in the States. Because I know even up until like couple weeks ago, things were kind of up in the air, right?” “Yeah, man. About the wedding day, people kept asking me when. I said, I don't know. We have dates in mind, but it depends on what happens with the visa. So essentially, so even to get my, so what's happening is in the visa process right now in Canada is this. it's very hard to get an appointment for the visa because of COVID restrictions and everything.” Sey Discusses the Process of Obtaining a U.S. Visa and Going to an Interview in Calgary, Alberta: “Yeah. So I got it. And then finally, I had the appointment, which was all the way in Calgary, the other side of the country. The reason why is because the Toronto embassy, the U.S. Embassy in Toronto, was essentially closed. It has been essentially close to the last two years, which is one of the reasons why I couldn't come over the last couple of years. So I go to Calgary. They approve me. They approve the visa.” Sey got Engaged in August of 2021: “But then in 20, but then from that year, 2019 until 2021, we didn't see each other for two years. Wow. Until I saw her in August, for the the first time since 2019, and then I proposed to her.” We also know that he was married on April 23, 2022: instagram.com/p/DXfpiT0lmBB/ Problems With Potential Visa Misrepresentations: Taken together, all of this is a huge problem for Sey because, under U.S. gudiance, someone who enters in a non-immigrant visa and takes certain actions inconsistent with that status within 90 days is presumed to have engaged in willful misrepresentation: fam.state.gov/fam/09FAM/09FA… And we know that this is a possible problem in this case, because Sey discussed at length going to an interview in 2021 or 2022 in Calgary. However, all interviews for fiancé visas (the K-1 visa) are conducted in Montreal, Quebec: ca.usembassy.gov/fiancee/ and have been since 2016 berardiimmigrationlaw.com/fi…. So whatever visa got, could not have been a fiancé visa. Moreover, based upon my knowledge and experience, if he had declared an intent to marry and remain in the United States to the visa officer, he would not have been granted a B-2 visa and would have been told to apply for a K-1 visa instead. .

Just 2 deputies in a small Texas town have facilitated 200 deportations, 10% of the town's population. This is thanks to the 287(g) Task Force Model. Before Trump took office last year, 0 agencies had a task force agreement with ICE. Now, more than 1,900 agencies have joined.
