A case was opened with SAPS but it never went anywhere. His right eye had to receive surgery in order to regain his vision.

“I am kindly pleading for help my father who was injured and beaten by his two white bosses from a company called Doeps Civil, the names of the bosses are Ignus and Gerald Duplessis, my father Jacob Tamele sustained severe facial injuries and his eye was damaged, who happened is this my father was asked by his friend to move his belongings and car from the company's premises to a specific place but the bosses were not happy with the whole thing because they suspect that the friend has stolen from the company. A case was opened but the police want to investigate the matter as they say there is no sufficient evidence”

I wondered why the family issued this statement yesterday:
"Chubby Chick wishes to make it clear that this incident was not racially motivated. The suspect has no formal association with Chubby Chick, he is not an employee, former employee, or contractor. We condemn and reject any rumours or speculation suggesting otherwise."
The 73-year-old suspect who had met with the Fourie brothers 30 minutes prior to the shooting, was also shot and is in hospital under police guard.
The fact that the family who have suffered a great loss have to also deal with rumours spread by race grifting trash says all we need to know about the concern these people have for victims and their families.
