🚨 URGENT: REPORTS OF FRESH KILLINGS AND HEAVY GUNFIRE IN RAWALAKOT, PAKISTAN ADMINISTERED JAMMU & KASHMIR 🚨 Alarming reports are emerging from Rawalakot of renewed firing by Pakistani security forces at peaceful protest sit-ins. At Matialmera Bus Terminal, two further deaths and four injuries are being reported. Protesters at Farooq Azam Chowk are also reporting intense gunfire and the alleged use of mortar shells. There are deeply disturbing reports that injured civilians are being prevented from receiving emergency medical assistance. آج صبح جب بس ٹرمینل دھرنے پر کریک ڈاؤن کیا گیا تو ایک وائرلیس ریکارڈنگ سوشل میڈیا پر اپلوڈ کی گئی تھی جس میں ما تحت کو حکم دیا جا رہا تھا کہ اس گھر کے اوپر RPG مارو- RPG کیا ہے؟ RPG Rocket-Propelled Grenade اردو مطلب ہے: راکٹ سے چلنے والا دستی بم۔ یہ ایک ایسا کندھے پر رکھ کر چلایا جانے والا ہتھیار ہے جو راکٹ کی مدد سے دھماکہ خیز گولہ ہدف کی طرف بھیجتا ہے- یاد رہے کہ RPG-7 ایک راکٹ لانچر ہے، عام بندوق نہیں۔ یہ پاکستانی فوج کے اسلحہ خانے میں شامل ہے- اس کا دھماکہ عام لوگوں کو بھی نشانہ بنا سکتا ہے، لیکن جنگ کے قوانین کے تحت عام شہریوں کو جان بوجھ کر نشانہ بنانا ممنوع ہے۔ جن ہتھیاروں کو جنگی حالات میں بھی عام شہریوں پر استعمال کرنا ممنوع ہے ایسے ہتھیاروں کو پاکستان زیر انتظام جموں کشمیر کے معصوم ، پرامن، نہتے شہریوں پر استعمال کیا جا رہا ہے- ہم دُنیا بھر کی انسانی حقوق کی تنظیموں سے اپیل کرتے ہیں کہ اس فسطائیت کے خلاف آواز بلند کریں۔ پاکستان کے حکمران طبقات اور پاکستانی فورسز کشمیریوں کی نسل کُشی کر رہی ہیں- ہم اپنے پیاروں کی لاشیں اُٹھا کر بھی پُرامن طور پر اپنی جدوجہد جاری رکھے ہوئے ہیں- نوٹ: تصویر انٹرنیٹ سے لی گئی ہے- This morning, during the crackdown on the sit-in at the bus terminal, a wireless radio recording was uploaded to social media. In the recording, an officer can allegedly be heard ordering a subordinate to fire an RPG at a house. What is an RPG? RPG stands for Rocket-Propelled Grenade. It is a shoulder-fired weapon that launches an explosive projectile using rocket propulsion. It is worth remembering that the RPG-7 is a rocket launcher, not an ordinary firearm. It is part of the Pakistani military’s weapons inventory. Its explosion can also kill or injure ordinary civilians. However, under the laws of war, deliberately targeting civilians is prohibited. Weapons that are prohibited from being used against civilians even in times of war are allegedly being used against innocent, peaceful and unarmed civilians in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir. We appeal to human rights organisations across the world to raise their voices against this fascism. The ruling elite of Pakistan and Pakistani security forces are committing genocide against the people of Kashmir. Even as we carry the bodies of our loved ones, we continue our struggle peacefully and remain committed to our cause. The people of the region deserve safety, dignity, justice and respect for their fundamental rights. The loss of innocent lives must never be ignored, and peaceful demands for rights and justice must be addressed without violence or intimidation. We urge all concerned authorities to exercise restraint, protect civilian lives and ensure accountability wherever violations are established.
